Bungie is showing off the new armor sets for Festival of the Lost, letting Destiny 2 players vote for Slashers or Spectres featuring the likes of Jason, Slenderman, and more. With the new year finally here, Destiny 2 has entered the final act of Episode Revenant, letting fans experience the narrative conclusion while also earning new loot like Slayer’s Fang.
For many fans, Episode Revenant hasn’t been the smoothest of rides, as there have been a frustrating number of problems that have arisen during this chapter of Destiny 2. One of the core mechanics of this season is the idea of brewing tonics for certain buffs, though Destiny 2 fans discovered some tonics were broken and not offering the benefits players thought. Bugs and other gameplay problems were also prevalent, and while Bungie was able to fix most of them over time, player sentiment seems to be a lot lower than normal over the current state of the game.

Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2025 Inspired by Iconic Horror Villains
For the Slashers category, horror fans will immediately recognize the Titan and Hunter armor, which are inspired clearly by Jason from the Friday the 13th movie series and Ghostface from the Scream franchise, while Warlocks get a sinister looking Scarecrow set. On the other hand, the Specters category sees Titans become Babadook, Hunters as La Llorona, and Warlock players can finally use an official Slenderman armor set.
While there were plenty in the community that enjoyed seeing Bungie’s take on horror icons, many were surprised to see the focus put on an event 10 months away. Many in the community were looking for some sort of acknowledgment of the current state of Destiny 2, as engagement and player numbers have continued to drop across the board. The game has also seen an uptick in bugs and other issues, which have only compounded the many frustrations associated with Episode Revenant.
