Logging into Fortnite recently, you’ll find a brand-new screen and not a particularly exciting one for most players. Rather than being greeted with the announcement of new content or something coming soon, players are being hit by a message saying Fortnite EULA is now required. What exactly does it mean?
Logging in at the moment, you might encounter a screen warning that Fortnite EULA must be accepted to play. So, you can’t get into the game without agreeing to a whole new batch of terms. Frustrating, but what if you’ve actually already agreed to the Fortnite EULA? In that case, this warning is actually an error. Not dissimilar to other Fortnite errors. What does it mean and how can you fix it?
Fortnite EULA – What is It?
The Fortnite EULA might sound vague, but it’s pretty standard stuff for a live service game. If you see this warning, it usually means Epic’s updated their agreements, and you have to agree to new terms for using Fortnite to take part. Like you agree to when signing up for any new service or online game. Fortnite’s had some changes recently and most users have had to accept the new terms.
What if you’ve already accepted and can’t seem to get rid of this pesky message though? Some players have been running into this error recently. What can you do about it?
How to Fix the Error?
According to Epic, there’s a simple way to solve the error leading to the Fortnite EULA. Players need to look into their ad-blocking software. This could be making the EULA agreement tracking not work.
Essentially all players need to do is ensure that “eulatracking-public-service-prod-ol.epicgames.com” is whitelisted by ad-blockers or similar services. Otherwise, it could be being blocked and getting in the way of players actually using Fortnite! Hopefully, that can fix the error at the moment. Although, in future Fortnite seasons we’ll probably see more changes to the user agreements requiring it to be agreed again
