The monster-capturing and survival game hybrid, Palworld, has recently been given one of its biggest patches that has changed it for the better. The major Feybreak update has introduced a variety of new things, such as a bigger island, more Pals, resources, and more. Everything that it has brought to the game has improved the player’s experience in ways that many appreciate, and it’s a good sign for things to come if this is what Pocketpair expects to dish out more of in the future. But as great as it is, the latest update can also be seen as the darkest compared to the previous ones, as some of its additions have tapped into the macabre side of the in-game world.
Palworld‘s Feybreak update has introduced a lot of interesting content, and the ones that have caught the eye of certain individuals come in the form of Pals. The patch has introduced 24 new monsters to battle or capture, giving people more reason to keep playing to see what they can offer to the game. Though the Pals are finely designed, their Paldeck entries have caused a number of players to raise their eyebrows. Though most contain normal descriptions, some enter into darker territory, making the Feybreak update feel more sinister when compared to something like the Sakurajima patch.

Palworld’s Feybreak update brought in a wonderful new addition in the form of Predator Pals, and while amazing, they do have some minor issues.
The Terrifying Paldeck Entries That Make the Feybreak Update Scarier Than It’s Supposed to Be
The Feybreak Island of Palworld may contain many beautiful environments, but it also hosts the Pals who look great in terms of design, but are extremely frightening based on what they could potentially do. Out of all the new monsters introduced, there are three in particular who have the darkest entries:
- Nitemary’s entry says that it forcibly extracts the soul of whoever it falls in love with and merges it with its own, ensuring a terrible fate for whoever the monster happens to fall for.
- Splatterina’s description states that it has an uncontrollable urge to tear its prey and that each one has its own unique process of dismemberment, making it a creature that someone would rather not run into.
- While Dazzi Noct’s Paldeck entry states that it ends up making friends with lonely Pals, its initial intentions show that it could have been a vile creature as it has the desire to lure others into a false sense of security before killing them.
The three can be seen as Feybreak update’s way of showing that not everything in the game is full of wonder and excitement, emphasizing the dangers the world’s inhabitants must face to survive. Because of what they’re capable of aside from their combat strength, they may just be some of the scariest Pals in Palworld.
Why It’s a Good Thing That the Feybreak Update Introduced Pals With Darker Entries
While not exactly playing a direct role in the big success of the Feybreak update, the darker entries help give the major patch more value. Having them shows that Pocketpair has not forgotten that the game is taking a more mature approach when compared to others of its kind, as that’s one of the appeals it has that has made it popular and successful. Hopefully, the developer will consider adding more of such Pals in future updates, as tapping more into the darker side could attract even more people into playing Palworld.
The Feybreak update’s new Pals and their Paldeck entries help make the in-game world darker than before, and many fans likely appreciate it. While there’s no telling what to expect from Palworld in 2025, there is hope that Pocketpair continues to provide more patches that show the darker side of what people are playing, as doing so can open up opportunities for even more interesting content.
