Nintendo Switch 2 Accessories And Prices Discovered In GameStop’s System

Nintendo Switch 2 Accessories And Prices Discovered In GameStop's System

Summary

  • Someone claiming to be a GameStop employee has shared images of Switch 2 accessories on the chain’s system.
  • The internal listings include descriptions and prices for SD cards, carry cases, and tempered glass.
  • This is the latest in a long list of leaks indicating Nintendo will likely reveal its next console very soon.

Another day, another reason to believe the Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed any day now. This time it comes in the form of accessories discovered in what appears to be GameStop’s backend. Someone has shared images of SKUs for various third-party Switch 2 accessories, complete with how much they will cost, claiming they were recently added to GameStop’s system, presumably meaning they’ll be available to buy soon.

The images originate from a Reddit user who goes by Opposite-Chemistry96 claiming to be a GameStop employee who shared the pictures on the Switch subreddit. Included in the images are listings for Switch 2 micro SD cards, a charging grip, carry cases, and tempered glass. There are also prices listed with SD cards starting from $49.99, and cases as low as $19.99.

The employee who shared the images has noted that they’re in the US, adding that it’s odd the listings seem to have Australia and Great Britain identifiers in their descriptions.

The images have been spreading like wildfire on social media and even though they appear to be real, there’s no way to know for sure until someone officially confirms them to be which isn’t going to happen. Also, as interesting as this potential new information is, it has been noted that there are no dates attached to these items. Their release dates are currently listed as unknown.

GameStop Appears To Be Preparing For The Switch 2’s Reveal

Yet Nintendo Remains Radio Silent

That GameStop is seemingly adding Switch 2 items to its systems is another big indicator that a reveal is coming any day now, though. We have reached a point where something connected to the Switch 2 is happening every single day. Already this week we’ve had a third-party accessories manufacturer showing off its accessories at CES, and an insider recreating what the new console’s logo will likely look like.

Nintendo promised news about its next console before the end of the current fiscal year – so any time between now and March 31, 2025 – but has remained silent amid the slew of ongoing leaks. Whether Nintendo is acknowledging them internally or burying its head in the sand, there has to be a reveal coming. Especially if the CES leak is accurate and Nintendo is planning to launch this new console as soon as April. Genki, the manufacturer that showed off its accessories, claimed its creations will be available to buy three months from now.
