But, while many are excited to see what the new season holds, others are looking ahead to the future, with eagle-eyed fans spotting references to three Marvel characters that could be included in future updates.
Daredevil, The Wasp, And Dazzler Hints Found In Marvel Rivals
Shared on the Marvel Rivals subreddit by user felixw1 are three references to famous Marvel characters: Daredevil, The Wasp, and Dazzler.
Found on the new Empire Of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Sanctorum map, these references could point to future additions or be little nods to Marvel’s vast roster of heroes.
The first new reference points to Daredevil, with a building displaying signage for ‘Nelson and Murdock, Attorneys At Law,’ famously the place in which Daredevil’s alter ego Matt Murdock practices law.
In the map, felixw1 also spotted a shop called ‘Van Dyne’s’, a reference to The Wasp character Janet van Dyne. The shop is seen displaying an array of yellow dresses, similar to the colors of The Wasp’s signature outfit.
Finally, a giant poster advertising X-Men’s Dazzler’s ‘Light The World World Tour’ can be seen on the Empire Of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Sanctorum map.
This isn’t the first time nods to other Marvel heroes have been found in Marvel Rivals. Back during one of the game’s early closed betas, references to both Deadpool and Spider-Gwen were found. Since then, despite rumors pointing towards Deadpool joining soon, neither character has been added to the game. This suggests that, maybe, these three new references are just that. For now.
