Gacha Pity System

Gran Saga’s pity system ensures players receive desired items after a set number of pulls. The Normal Pity System guarantees a specific weapon or artifact upon filling the pity bar. In Rate-Up and Featured Banners, reaching pity twice allows the selection of any weapon or artifact, including featured units.

Additionally, each pull grants Pure Gran Jewels, which can be exchanged for SSR weapon duplicates, provided you own the original. Note that Ancient and Angel Weapons aren’t currently available in the Pure Gran Jewel Shop, and prices increase with each purchase. However, the Pure Gran Jewel feature is not present in the Japanese and Global versions of the game.

Gran Saga Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

Starting your journey in Gran Saga can feel overwhelming, but with the right guidance, you’ll find the game enjoyable and rewarding. Here are five detailed tips to help you succeed as a beginner. These tips will cover everything from understanding systems to team building, so you can enjoy your adventure to the fullest.

1. Make the Most of the Pure GranJewel Shop

Gran Saga rewards you with Pure Gran Jewels for every pull, whether you’re using premium or free currencies. These jewels can be used in the Pure Gran Jewel Shop to buy SSR weapon fragments. However, there are a few conditions: you must already own the weapon, and the more you purchase, the higher the cost becomes.

For example:

  • The 1st copy costs 250 Pure Gran Jewels.
  • The 2nd copy costs 300 Pure Gran Jewels.
  • By the 5th copy, the price rises to 750 Pure Gran Jewels.

Each purchase gives 25 weapon fragments, and you need 100 fragments for a full weapon. To save resources, aim to collect two duplicates before purchasing fragments from the shop. This feature is not available in the Japanese and Global versions, so be mindful if you’re playing those.

2. Master the Core Potential Interface

The Core Potential Interface is one of the key systems for upgrading your characters. It lets you enhance offensive stats, defensive stats, and abilities. The interface is color-coded:

  • Red cores boost attack power.
  • Blue cores enhance defense.
  • Green cores improve utility and survivability.

Focus on upgrading cores that align with your character’s role. For example, prioritize red cores for DPS characters and blue cores for tanky units. Consistently upgrading your core potential can dramatically improve your performance in battles and increase your overall power.

3. Focus on Soul Mastery

Soul Mastery is a progression system that applies to SR and SSR weapons. It tracks your achievements, such as unlocking, leveling up, and transcending weapons. Even if you dismantle a weapon, your progress remains. Transcending weapons (upgrading them beyond their max level) gives the highest Soul Mastery score, so aim to transcend as many weapons as possible.

This system provides permanent stat boosts, making it one of the best ways to improve your characters. Keep an eye on which weapons provide the most value for your playstyle and prioritize them for mastery.

4. Build a Balanced Team

Team composition is essential in Gran Saga. Having a well-rounded team ensures you can handle various enemies and challenges. A good setup typically includes:

  • A melee DPS for high single-target damage.
  • A ranged DPS for consistent damage from a distance.
  • A support or healer to keep your team alive during tougher battles.

Each class in Gran Saga has strengths and weaknesses, so experiment with different characters and roles to find the best synergy for your play style. Regularly upgrading your team’s weapons and cores will also help you tackle more challenging content as you progress.

5. Understand the Pity System

The pity system in Gran Saga ensures players are rewarded with rare items after a set number of pulls. The Normal Pity System guarantees a specific weapon or artifact when the pity bar is filled. The Rate-Up and Featured Pity System, available during specific banners, allows you to pick any weapon or artifact of your choice after hitting pity twice. This system is especially useful for obtaining featured items.

Additionally, every pull gives you Pure Gran Jewels, which can be exchanged for SSR weapon duplicates. Keep in mind, however, that you must already own the weapon to buy duplicates. Ancient and Angel Weapons are excluded, and the shop’s prices increase with each purchase. Planning your pulls strategically is key to maximizing your resources.
