Summary
- PlayStation UK posted a fun list of games turning ten this year.
- Because they included Bloodborne, some fans got really worked up.
- Others, thankfully, are having fun with the post, and replying with their tinfoil hat conspiracies.
Three days ago, PlayStation UK posted an innocuous list of a bunch of great video games turning ten this year, including Yakuza 0, The Witcher 3, and of course, Bloodborne.
You can guess how the comment section looks.
Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, But Never Acceptance
“Bloodborne really turns ten years old this year, fu**ers took so long to do anything about a PC port that the fans managed it themselves,” @Zakguard replied.
“If you aren’t gonna do anything with it STOP FU**ING SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT IT,” @LyfeIsStrange added. “Giving us false hope doesn’t put money in your pocket”.
If PlayStation UK didn’t include Bloodborne on the list, we’d be talking about how angry fans are that it was ‘forgotten’.
Another fan even said that they “sure as shi* won’t” have mercy” on “all those who work for PlayStation” if nothing is done for Bloodborne’s anniversary, attaching a GIF of Negan from The Walking Dead brandishing his baseball bat Lucille.
Thankfully, things are a little lighter on Reddit, with fans joking about tinfoil hat theories like Bloodborne being on the sixth line, the sixth letter being ‘b’, and ‘b’ being the second letter of the alphabet, ergo Bloodborne 2 confirmed (a great theory put forward by AnywhereInevitable84).
And then we have DeepInTheGronkZone who put it simply: “I’m tired boss”.
Assassin’s Creed had a Bloodlines game, Bloodborne has blood, Ubisoft is free falling because of bad games, so they publish Bloodborne Origins, Tales of the Blood — Unhappy_Jackfruit280.
Others are hooking up to the copium and jokingly declaring that this is confirmation of a Bloodborne remaster, launching later this year: “We’re so fu**in back lads,” TrustBrilliant7008 said. Mark October on your calendars, this is definitely confirmation.
(It isn’t).
Maybe Sony will do something for the tenth anniversary, whether that’s a PS5 update, PC port, or a cool new profile pic for PSN. Whatever the case, this is almost certainly just a fun tweet that some fans are getting a little too worked up about.
Bloodborne is a PlayStation 4-exclusive title developed by Dark Souls and Elden Ring creator FromSoftware, and launched in 2015. A critically acclaimed action role-playing game, you must traverse the city of Yharnam seeking a cure for a mysterious illness.
