The biggest fighting game tournament of 2025 is starting up soon, and we’re already seeing the build-up begin. This week, with the reveal of the EVO 2025 games line-up. Each of the titles being featured at the main EVO 2025 event. This year there are more EVO events taking place than ever before. However, they’re still going to be focusing on the biggest games.
The line-up for EVO 2025 is a great look at the current standing of fighting games esports. Seeing what makes the cut, what gets dropped down, it can be an interesting look at how things change. Some older games are being featured in the EVO 2025 games line-up, right alongside the best titles of 2025.
What’s being featured at EVO 2025 and what’s not made the cut this year?
All EVO 2025 Games Announced
With more details coming out now about EVO 2025, we’ve got a clear idea of what games will be featured at the upcoming event. The main stage games have been announced as:
- Street Fighter 6
- Tekken 8
- Guilty gear Strive
- Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising
- Under night In-Birth II Sys:Celes
- Mortal Kombat
- Fatal Fury City of the Wolves
- Marvel Vs Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes
Some of these aren’t the biggest surprises. We’ve got the biggest games like SF 6, mainstays like GGS. However, there are still some surprises nestled in here too. One welcome surprise is Marvel Vs Capcom. It’s back at EVO, maybe due to its new re-release in the Marvel V Capcom Collection. These titles are beloved Marvel fighting games and it’ll be great to see one in competition again.
We’ve also got brand new titles showing up for EVO 2025. The new Fatal Fury is going to be featured. Although, since the game hasn’t yet been released it’s tricky to know exactly how it’s going to play at the event
One other surprise so far has been Mortal Kombat 1 clinging on. The game isn’t particularly old, but it does feel like it might be time to knock it off the main stages soon. It’s getting another year as part of the main EVO 2025 games, despite diminishing interest in the title.
