The Ohn’ahran Overlook, featuring the Ohn’ahran Plains from Dragonflight, is obtained automatically by logging in after Patch 11.1. The Cultists’ Quay, located in the Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall, is earned from the Delver’s Journey for Season 2. Meanwhile, the Freywold Spring from the village of the same name and the Gallagio Grand Gallery featured in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1’s new raid, Liberation of Undermine, are obtained by completing the All That Khaz and Racing to a Revolution meta-achievements respectively.
These campsites and their methods of acquisition can be found on a new tab in the Collections pane, easily allowing players to preview and unlock them. On the character select screen itself, campsites now have their own tab at the top, allowing fans to choose campsites for their characters – or even choose randomly between favorite backgrounds each time they log in.
These customizable character selection screens all build on the framework created by the Warbands system introduced in World of Warcraft: The War Within, proving Blizzard intends to keep innovating upon the feature in the future. Fans can look forward to unlocking campsites alongside mounts, pets, and other collectibles as more are added later on – and hopefully not only in new content, but in old areas, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the cash shop.
