Owning one can make you feel prestigious in Palworld. Many dragon-type Pals derive their grandeur from their elegant and powerful appearances, and sometimes their large sizes make them even more imposing.
You’ve probably encountered Pals like Relaxaurus and Quivern, and perhaps you’ve also fought a tough battle with Jetragon to acquire a fast mount. How about capturing Silvegis, one of the powerful and useful dragons?
Where To Find Silvegis
Silvegis is a noble-looking Pal with white tones and metallic armor on its neck. According to its Palpedia entry, the metal components on its neck have magnetic properties. Silvegis, a Dragon-type Pal, cannot be found roaming in the wild. Therefore, you have two options to obtain it: hatch it from an egg or capture the Alpha Boss Silvegis.
How To Breed Silvegis
To obtain Silvegis, you will need a 
Huge Dragon Egg
. Since finding this egg in the wild is not easy, you can use specific breeding combos at the Breeding Farm to acquire it. The Pal combinations needed to breed Silvegis are listed in the table below:

Where To Find Alpha Boss Silvegis
Silvegis can be found on Feybreak Island, located in the southwest of the map. Its coordinates are -985, -1021. To reach it easily, teleport to the Shield Dragon Tunnel fast travel point and head south to find the cave where Silvegis resides. Alpha Boss Silvegis is level 59, so a tough battle awaits you.
Having powerful Ice-type Pals like Bastigor and 
Frostallion
will give you a type advantage. As Silvegis is a Dragon-type Pal, you should avoid using Dark-type Pals. Also, if you want to capture it, you will need good spheres—using at least an Ultimate Sphere, or ideally an Exotic Sphere, will make the process significantly easier.
Items Dropped By Silvegis
When you kill or capture Silvegis, you will obtain Chromite, one of the harder-to-find ores in the game. However, instead of relying on Silvegis to obtain Chromite, it may be more efficient to search for it using a Metal Detector or Smokie.
Partner Skill & Work Suitability
Silvegis’ partner skill is Aegis Shield, which allows you to ride it. This skill not only lets you mount Silvegis but also increases the duration of your shield while riding it. This makes you more tanky in combat, especially useful when fighting against Dark-type Pals, making Silvegis a unique and valuable Pal for survival in difficult battles.
To use this partner skill, you will need a Silvegis Saddle. To craft it, you must be level 58 and will need the following materials:
Additionally, Silvegis has a third-level Lumbering work suitability. Apart from this, it doesn’t have any other work suitability on your base. Third-level Lumbering is quite good, making Silvegis an effective Pal both in your team and on your base. However, if you have Celesdir, which has a fourth-level Lumbering, Celesdir would be a more effective choice.
