The islands of Palworld have seen some interesting new additions lately, making Pocketpair’s creation more engaging. The game got the major Feybreak update in December 2024, putting in new things like a much bigger island, more Pals, new dungeons, and more. While all of these are great, one of the more noteworthy implementations would be the bounty system, allowing players to take on jobs that involve eliminating high-value targets for rewards. The new experience is fun and challenging, but it has the potential to be more.
The introduction of the bounty system through Palworld‘s Feybreak update has changed the game in a way that benefits both its world and players. For instance, there is now another incentive for encountering Alpha Pals aside from making them potential partners, as the bounty tokens they drop can grant access to new dungeons. Feybreak also features new human targets that are incredibly tough if not prepared for, making the islands feel more dangerous but also more exciting to explore. The bounty system has indeed changed Palworld for the better, but Pocketpair could give it an update that will allow it to do more than requiring players to take on specific individual targets.

How to Improve Palworld’s Bounty System
Taking down Palworld’s extremely tough Alpha Pals or the new human overworld enemies can make for exciting times, but even that can tend to grow stale if those are the only targets of the bounty system. A good way to improve it is by having more options for the bounties, and there are a few things Pocketpair should consider adding if it were to make the update:
- Having players capture a certain number of specific Pals
- Requiring players to capture human bosses instead of eliminating them
- Putting a timer on targets that must be captured or defeated before they disappear
- Making players take on any of the grunts or bosses of the factions of Palworld in specific ways, such as with a certain Pal or weapon
As it stands, the bounty system is a fun new way of giving life to the islands of Palworld, but the changes mentioned could help make it into something that players will keep wanting to use. Hopefully, Pocketpair will consider updating with a future patch, as it could become one of the game’s biggest features that can attract even more people into playing.
Why Pocketpair Should Focus On Improving the Bounty System
Palworld‘s Feybreak update is a big success in part because it gives players more to do and look forward to through features like the bounty system. If it’s only going to be limited to taking down strong individual targets for limited reward choices, however, then players might lose interest in it as it gets repetitive. Pocketpair has to ensure that doesn’t happen, and one of the ways to do that is by giving the system proper updates. Aside from having more types of bounties, another good way of improving it is by expanding its reward options. If bounties offer things like exclusive armor and weapons rather than just resources that can be obtained through regular play, then players are better incentivized to utilize the bounty feature even more.
While there’s already a lot of variables in terms of what to expect from Palworld in 2025, the improvement of the bounty system is hopefully among them. It has the potential to be much more than it already is and if Pocketpair provides it with certain changes, it could become a feature that every person enjoying the game will want to utilize constantly.
