CES attendees are welcome to “get a feel” for the Switch 2 using Genki’s accessories as the company made good on a promise it made last week. Genki noted it would be bringing Switch 2 accessories to the event and well, here we are. The Wait For Nintendo To Confirm Something, Anything, Continues
While the images confirm prior leaks, the one thing Genki has reportedly been telling attendees that wasn’t known before is a potential release window for the Switch 2. It’s claiming that its accessories will be released in April of this year which presumably means that’s when the Switch 2 will launch as well. It would be a little odd if accessories were available to buy for a console that can’t be played yet.
There is a chance that’s simply when pre-orders for the Switch 2 will open with a release coming later in 2025. The one thing we know for certain is that Nintendo will have confirmed details about the Switch 2 by then as it has committed to a reveal before the end of the current financial year, so any time between now and March 31, 2025. If the reveal comes within the next couple of weeks, an April release may well be on the cards. A quick turnaround, but at this point, Nintendo probably just wants to get its new console out there.
