Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is fast approaching, but ahead of it, NetEase has released a ton of data about Marvel Rivals, including win rates and pick rates. This data is broken down by quick play and competitive, with different sets of data for PC and console. The below list is ordered by popularity based on console competitive, but each character will also have their PC number listed as well.
A lot of the number ordering here won’t be too surprising based on the characters that have been popular since launch, but it should be noted that many of the Duelists, even the most popular ones, show up with lower pick rates than the least popular Vanguard and Strategist heroes. This is because, at least in part, there are far more Duelists–18–compared to the limited options in the Vanguard and Strategist roles, resulting in the Duelists picks being more spread out. It’s also important to note that in Diamond and above lobbies, there are two bans per team, which likely impacted the pick rate of some of the more powerful heroes, like Hawkeye and Hela.
Another interesting part of this data are the win rates across both console and PC competitive. The vast majority of heroes are within a 5% range of 50%–either above or below–indicating that while some heroes are certainly better than others at the moment, the overall difference in matches won is smaller than you might expect, especially for a hero shooter that launched with a large roster of 33 heroes. Here are the most popular Marvel Rivals heroes.
