Like many other Soulslike games, Lords of the Fallen focuses on unique and fun-to-play builds that allow its players to complete multiple playthroughs entirely differently. A build not only focuses on a person’s playstyle but also how they face powerful bosses and enemies.

Holy Caster Build
Holy Beam of Light Will Pierce The Enemies!
The Holy Caster Build focuses primarily on Radiance Spells rather than relying heavily on your primary weapon. Managing mana consumption is crucial for maintaining consistent spell usage. While your weapon won’t see much action, it’s essential to have one for situations where enemies close the distance. The Flickering Flail is an excellent choice for this role and can be found inside the boss room of Tancred, Master of Castigations, in one of the cells. The Flail shines in close-range combat, particularly when upgraded to +10, which unlocks its Special ability.
Spells form the core of this build’s functionality. The Exacter Scripture is an excellent choice for this build, offering S scaling on Radiance when fully upgraded. Orius’ Judgment can be cast consecutively, staggering enemies and quickly dispatching them. Piercing Light excels against ranged foes, while Blessed Reflections provides an additional line of defense. Your primary mana-consuming spell is Lucent Beam, which you’ll often spam while maintaining a safe distance. This spell can melt through enemies and significantly reduce a boss’s health bar in mere seconds.
When it comes to Rings and Pendants, boosting spell power is the priority. For your Pendant, the Hysteria Pendant is an excellent option as it increases spellpower. In the first ring slot, equip the Barrage Root, which amplifies spellpower at the cost of one spell slot. For the second ring, consider the Puissance Root, which further enhances the power of sorceries.
Always carry plenty of Manastone Clusters to restore your Mana incrementally while casting high mana-consumption spells.

No Entry Umbral Build
Casting Umbral Spells To Make Enemies Stay Away
This Umbral build is all about making your enemies take enough damage that they die before even reaching the player. This is done by a handful of interesting spells and rings that the player can acquire throughout their playthrough. The first thing to acquire is the Harrower Dervla’s Sword which, as the name suggests, can be acquired after giving Molhu the Remembrance of the late game boss Harrower Dervla. This weapon has the highest Frostbite rate out of all the weapons, making it a perfect addition to this build.
After the Sword is acquired, the next main thing is the spells, which are the backbone of this build. Using the Lost Berscu’s Catalyst, players will be able to slot 5 spells pertaining to this build. The Umbral Weapon is quite useful as it allows the player to coat their weapon with Umbral Magic. Spells like Putrefaction and Graveyard Fog are present to create areas where the enemies take constant damage and, in most cases, die before coming close. Grieving Gaze and Flesh Tide are extra spells that can be added to thin out enemy lines or push them back.
In terms of Rings, the player can opt for the Yorke’s Ring and the Bloodbane Ring. These rings can increase frostbite damage and cause Bleed upon Poison proc, which can occur thanks to the Putrefaction spell. The Puissance Root Ring is another great addition that increases the power of Sorceries.
When it comes to the Pendants, there are a lot of options because most coincide with this build quite nicely. The Pendant of Burden deals extra damage for each status afflicted, and the Pendant of the Blood Sun increases the damage of sorceries upon killing an enemy. However, the pendant that differentiates this build from the rest is the Pendant of Parting. Any enemy caught inside the various area spells and dies will have a chance to spawn a mine. This mine can kill an enemy and deal additional wither damage.

Holy-Focused Build
Smite The Enemy
As the name suggests, this build focuses on dealing a massive amount of damage through Holy attacks. To increase this damage, certain rings and pendants will need to be equipped in order to make this into a fun and viable build. As none of the Armor sets provide any buffs, the player can equip any armor they choose, as it will not affect the build.
First off, for the weapon, a good choice would be the Pieta’s Sword, as this weapon is available early on by defeating Pieta, and most players can get their hands on it quickly and start focusing on the build. The weapon has 90 Smite, meaning it can proc quite often. If the player wants to go for a better Smite weapon option, then they can opt for the Justice, which has 200 Smite but can take some time to acquire.
Spells, mainly Radiance spells, are not necessary for this build, as the main focus will be on increasing a weapon’s Holy damage as well as Smite proc. However, a few spells can be extremely useful, such as Invigorating Aura, which allows the player to tank a few hits as they are regenerating health, and Radiant Weapon, which imbues their weapon with Radiance, further increasing Smite.
For Rings, the obvious go-to option is the Orian Sorcerer’s Ring. If the player wants a good defensive option as well, they can equip the Bramble Ring, which regenerates health upon inflicting Smite. The Empyrean Pendant and Hallowed Triptych are both great options for Pendants, as they increase Holy Damage dealt and posture damage, respectively.

Harrower’s Gatling Gun
Burn Enemies Using The Endless Bolts
Harrower’s Gatling Gun might be one of the most fun builds in the game. This is because the build revolves around using the Harrower Dervla’s Crossbow, which can shoot multiple darts at once. This build is ranged only, so players will have to stay quick on their feet and maintain their distance from the enemies.
Explosive, Radiant, and Wither Bolts will be the main choices of bolts for this build. They provide two areas of damage the player can focus on. Players will be able to alternate between bolts depending on the weaknesses of the enemies they are facing.
For Pendant, the best option to go with is the Inner Serpent Pendant. As players will only be using the crossbow, it is only right to reduce the time between attacks. Reloading often takes time, but with this Pendant equipped, dodging in any direction will reload the crossbow. This lets players increase the distance between them and the enemies as well as reload simultaneously, allowing them to fire constantly.
Rings are where this build differs. This is because multiple Rings are quite good but will depend on the player’s playstyle. The Crossbowman’s Ring and Poacher’s Ring are good options when there is a need for more ammunition. These Rings lower the cost of firing the crossbow, allowing for more bolts to be fired. However, the combination of the Blackfeather Ranger Ring and Ring of Night’s Fire is still better, because of the increased damage they grant, especially to Explosive and Wither Bolts.

Lords Of The Fallen: NPCs You Should Not Kill
Certain NPCs in Lords of the Fallen can be incredibly helpful, but only if the player stays their blade and lets them live.
The final and most important thing that this build requires is the Umbral Eye of Lydia the Numb Witch in the Umbral Lamp. This Umbral Eye’s main socket effect allows the player to use their ranged weapon without burning ammunition, at the cost of withered health instead. With a fully upgraded Sanguinarix, the player will have a lot of heal available, allowing them to use the crossbow without caring much about ammunition.

Toxic Mayham
Long Reach Halberd Into Poison and Bleed Buildup
Watching enemies’ health rot away slowly is what this build is all about. Afflicting poison on enemies and then increasing the potency and duration of those status effects will be the main areas to target. There are only a few weapons and items that make good use of the poison effect, and picking which one to use is the tricky part.
The Hushed Saint Halberd deals 150 Poison, making it a viable weapon for the build. As the weapon is a Halberd, it has a long reach, allowing for sweep and slam attacks that can hit enemies and start building up poison from a distance. To further increase poison build-up, players will need to use the Poison Weapon spell. Latimer’s Javelin and Putrefaction are some additional spells that players can utilize. These spells will further increase their poison build-up as well as create an area of poison that deals constant damage to the enemies within it.
Bloodbane Ring is a must for this build because it causes bleed buildup when the player afflicts poison on the enemy. This can cause two effects on the same target, making them lose more health per second. The Pendant of Burden is the perfect choice for a Pendant because it grants increased damage for every status effect. As this build afflicts both Poison and Bleed, that Pendant comes in handy, and brings this build firmly into the overpowered category.

Lord Of Flames
Players Control Fire Spells and Weapons To Burn Everyone In Their Path
The Lord of Flames build revolves around using all the game has to offer in terms of dealing fire damage. Numerous spells, weapons, and rings can be extremely useful for this build. A good weapon choice is the Grinning Axe, which has 80 Burn and Ignite. This weapon, combined with the increased fire damage rings listed below, can deal massive damage.

Soulslikes With The Best Atmosphere
Atmosphere is very important in Soulslike games, even if most aren’t aware of it. While there are tons of Soulslikes, these games nail it the best.
Spells are an integral part of this build. Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst has an S rating at max level, along with five slots, making it a great Catalyst. Seismic Slam, Cataclysm, and Infernal Weapon are a must, as they are some of the most powerful Inferno spells in the game.
Rhogar’s Delight is a Pendant that increases fire damage and holy defense. Combining this with the Ring of Infernal Devotion and Ring of Night’s Fire can pump those fire damage numbers up even further. Barrage Root and Puissance Root are alternative options for players who want to increase their overall spell power instead of focusing solely on increasing fire damage.
