How To Find The Smuggling Tunnels In Call Of Duty: Warzone 2

Call of Duty Warzone 2 DMZ has numerous locations that players need to find for various reasons, whether it’s to get certain vehicles like the MRAP or to complete specific faction missions. Some areas are a lot more tricky to find than others, so having a better lay of the land from researching is always useful.

The Smuggling Tunnels is one such location that you will most likely struggle to find without some help and, since it has a White Lotus faction mission named after it for you to complete, you must know where to go.

Where To Find The Smuggling Tunnels

The Smuggling Tunnels can be found northeast of Zarqwa Hydroelectric and only on the Al-Mazrah map. A nearby tower is a highly useful landmark to use for spotting where the Stronghold’s location is when approaching.

We recommend using a boat if you spawn on the south side of Al-Mazrah as you can use the river to take you upstream to the hydroelectric plant.

When you spawn in the DMZ, simply mark the stronghold, and you can navigate to it when you are ready. Once you have made it outside the Smuggling Tunnels Stronghold, there are a few entrances hidden away.

The easiest one to find is on the left side of the Stronghold icon and there will be a tree lurching over a rocky hollowed-out crevice. Bushes shroud the door, but you will see a metal fence entrance and an industrial door to the Smuggling Tunnels when near.

Like every Stronghold in the DMZ, you need a Stronghold Keycard to enter. However, there is not a specific key required that is tied only to the tunnels, unlike some other locations on the map where you need to find individual keys.

Before thinking of getting a keycard, make sure to be very prepared for the Smuggling Tunnels—we recommend to squad up for this Stronghold. The tunnels have a lot of enemies inside and, because of the close-quarter nature, you can be cornered very fast.

How To Get A Stronghold Keycard

There are a few ways to get a Stronghold Keycard for access to the tunnels. One way is by killing hordes of AI enemies and hoping that, by sheer stroke of luck, one randomly drops the keycard. This can be very time-consuming and is not recommended.

Instead, you should buy one from a Buy Station for $5000. This may sound like a lot of cash, but if you have been completing contracts and looting, then selling items as you play the match, it will be a piece of cake to get that. However, there is a way to make a lot of cash fast without ever completing a contract.

Not every Buy Station will have a Stronghold Keycard in its offerings, but by moving around different stations on the map it won’t take long to find one that does.

The train that goes around Al-Mazrah (visible on the map) is the best place to grab a lot of cash early on. While looting on the train, we often find more than $3200 in cash scattered around. To make the best use of this strategy, head directly to the train when you spawn on the map.

You can then sell any picked-up valuables on you at a buy station or also find some cash registers to loot in shops for any extra cash you need before you have the $5000.

The cash needed for the Stronghold keycard will be yours, and you can easily enter the Smuggling Tunnels afterward in a fraction of the time compared to the other enemy loot drop method.
