Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Yuffie Actor Is Invisible Woman In Marvel Rivals

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Yuffie Actor Is Invisible Woman In Marvel Rivals

Summary

  • The actors lending their voices to Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals have been revealed.
  • Mister Fantastic is voiced by Ian James Corlett, best known for playing Goku in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z.
  • Invisible Woman is being voiced by Suzie Yeung whose video game credits include appearances in Fortnite, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and she’s also Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Marvel Rivals‘ first season, season zero is about to come to an end and on Friday its second season, season one, will begin. All very confusing, I know, and best not to think about it too much. Just focus on the shared arrival of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman on the Rivals roster, and if you’ve seen their gameplay and heard their voices already thinking they sound familiar, there’s a very good reason for that.

Marvel Rivals News has shared details on who the actors are behind the new character’s voices, and there’s a very strong chance you’ve played a game in which they starred before. Ian James Corlett is the voice of Mister Fantastic. Elsewhere in the video game world, Corlett is best known for voicing characters in Marvel vs. Capcom, Destiny 2, and most recently Dio in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Marvel Rivals Players Will Have More Time To Avoid Jeff’s Ult In Season One

Jeff won’t be spitting quite as many superheroes off the edge of the stage in season one.

However, Corlett’s resume is rooted more in animation than it is in games, and it’s even more likely you know him best for his time as Goku in Dragon Ball Z. Specifically the ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z in which the actor played the iconic anime character for two years during the late 1990s across 37 episodes and a movie. His Marvel Rivals co-star Yeung, however, has a very long list of video game credits to her name, including one she shares with Corlett.

Yeung played an even bigger role in FF7 Rebirth as she’s the actor behind Yuffie, meaning she also played the same character in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Yeung’s list of video game credits is a long one with roles in Fortnite, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Persona 3 Reload also listed on her CV. Genshin Impact fans might also recognize Yeung’s voice as her breakout role in the video game industry was as Eula in 2020.

While some video game roles require motion capture work as well as voice acting, Yeung appears to be Invisible Woman in voice alone. We know that because the model for the new character, or at least part of her, has been revealed. Aruuu, whose dimensions were used to model Rivals’ Psylocke, revealed this week that they’ve been reused for Sue Storm. Aruuu specifically notes Invisible Woman and Psylocke have the same butt, but I’m assuming the borrowed assets extend to the full model rather than just a shared derriere.

To see Aruuu’s modeling and hear Yeung’s voice in action, you’ll need to play Rivals this Friday when Invisible Woman is added to the roster. The same applies to Corlett’s Mister Fantastic who will be added to the game at the same time.
