World of Warcraft is going to automatically convert any excess Bronze Celebration Tokens players still have from the 20th anniversary event into Timewarped Badges in Patch 11.1. Once the update goes live, fans who forgot to spend all of their currency before the event ended will receive 20 Timewarped Badges for each Bronze Celebration Token in their World of Warcraft characters’ inventories.
After 11 weeks of activities, the World of Warcraft 20th anniversary event has finally come to an end. During the celebration, players could easily earn hundreds of Bronze Celebration Tokens, which were used to buy the revamped Tier 2 sets, as well as old and new anniversary collectibles. Any extra tokens World of Warcraft fans obtained could be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency used in Timewalking events.

Now that the event is done, World of Warcraft is helping players who still have some Bronze Celebration Tokens left over. According to a forum post by WoW community manager Linxy, any characters who have Bronze Celebration Tokens in their currency tabs will have them automatically turned into Timewarped Badges at a 1:20 ratio – the same used during the event. This conversion will take place the first time they log in after Patch 11.1 releases in World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft Bronze Celebration Token Auto-Conversion in Patch 11.1
Bronze Celebration Tokens became useless as soon as the event ended on January 7 – Blizzard confirmed it had no intention of using the currency ever again, even whenever World of Warcraft brings back the revamped Tier 2 sets in future anniversaries or other events. This automatic conversion will make sure fans who didn’t spend all of their tokens for whatever reason won’t be stuck with a pointless entry in their ever-growing Currency tabs.
Patch 11.1 does not have a release date yet, but players have a pretty good idea as to when it is coming. World of Warcraft’s second Plunderstorm event runs from January 14 through February 17, and the Turbulent Timeways from now through February 24. This marks February 25 as the most likely date for the update, as it also happens to be 10 weeks after Patch 11.0.7, which is right in line with Blizzard’s recent release cadence while accounting for the holidays.
Unfortunately, this means the Bronze Celebration Token conversion will likely happen after the second Turbulent Timeways event in World of Warcraft wraps up. The seven-week event runs through every Timewalking campaign, giving players tons of places to spend Timewarped Badges. Luckily, none of the rewards purchased with this currency will be going away for good, so fans can always save their Timewarped Badges for future Timewalking events.
