Palworld‘s latest major update has given it so many new things for players to enjoy, and one of them comes in the form of dangerous monsters that roam the islands called Predator Pals. Much like the game’s extremely tough Aplha Pals, they are stronger variations of the monsters players regularly encounter, making them enemies one would not want to go up against unless truly prepared for. While they are a great addition to the world, there are still a few things that Pocketpair could do to make them even better.
With the introduction of the Predator Pals through Palworld‘s Feybreak update, there are now more things for players to watch out for when exploring the game’s different islands. The strong creatures aren’t just there for the sake of being threats either, as taking them down offers good rewards like a ton of experience points and predator cores for unlocking weapons and inventory slots. They truly make the world feel more alive as they incentivize players to explore and find them, but they do have some issues that hinder them from being one of the best things about the game. If Pocketpair were aware of the problems and implemented a future update to make certain changes, then Predator Pals would have a chance of becoming one of Palworld‘s biggest attractions.

The recent Feybreak update for Palworld brings some exciting additions to the game, but one of the new weapons misses the mark.
The Issues Surrounding Palworld’s Predator Pals
The newly introduced variations of the game’s monsters can be considered some of the scariest Pals in Palworld, and it’s a shame that they’re being held back from being amazing due to certain limitations. If Pocketpair were to ever make any changes to them, then the developer should consider looking into certain problems such as:
- The inconsistency of their spawns makes it harder for people to tell when they should go back to grind experience points or resources from them
- Not having their locations automatically marked even after the initial encounter can lead to players forgetting where they are and can be a problem for those who don’t utilize the map marker feature
- Being unable to capture them makes it feel that they’re just things to take down when they could have also been unique and distinguishable partners
Palworld‘s major Feybreak update may have breathed new life into the new islands with the Predator Pals, but the new monster variation could be so much more if the issues mentioned were addressed. Hopefully, Pocketpair will consider it with a future update, as doing so can only improve the game.
A Way to Improve the State of Palworld’s Predator Pals
Aside from changing the consistency of how they spawn and other problems, there is another way to make Predator Pals even better than they already are. Beating any of them means obtaining valuable Predator Cores that can be used for crafting, but the selection of what can be made is limited. So, to incentivize people to encounter as many Predator Pals as possible, the list of what can be crafted from the monsters’ drops should be expanded. Aside from pouches that provide inventory space and weapons, other alternatives could include exclusive armor and decorations. If there is more variety in what can be made, more people will want to hunt down Predator Pals to obtain them, making the monsters more popular and helping them become one of the biggest reasons to continue playing Palworld.
One of the biggest reasons why Palworld‘s Feybreak update is a big success is because it expands on the things people can enjoy in the game, and Predator Pals is a good example. The stronger monster variations may have a few issues, but there’s no denying that they are one of the best additions that have made the game more fun and exciting to play.
