NetEase Games announced new details about Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, including important information about the upcoming battle pass, new maps, and a fresh game mode. As Season 0 comes to a close, many fans are clamoring for more information about Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. Fortunately, Marvel Rivals released a new developer video blog to detail what players can expect when the season launches on January 10 at 1 AM PST.

NetEase Games will be kicking off the new season with the release of Mister Fantastic and The Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals. Seasons will last roughly three months, and players can expect to see The Thing and Human Torch six or seven weeks into Season 1. The developers officially confirmed that Mister Fantastic will be a Duelist and The Invisible Woman will be a Strategist. In addition to characters from The Fantastic Four, players can expect to see the Baxter Building as a key location in one of the game’s new maps.

The battle pass will consist of 10 new skins and cost 990 Lattice, but gamers will earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units back as they complete the pass. Players will also be treated to a new game mode called Doom Match, which will take place on the new Empire of the Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum map. The new way to play is considered an arcade mode made up of 8-12 people battling across the map, with the top 50% of players claiming victory at the end of the match.
