Here’s how to best all who oppose you in Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana!
Accessories exist to add a little bit more depth to all that. Some of them are used during combat, while some are exclusively for traversal. They come in all shapes and sizes, and you can potentially miss every single one of them. Here’s where to find all of them, and exactly what they do.
Every Accessory And What It Does
In total, there are six accessories that you can acquire in Oath in Felghana, each of them with a dramatically different effect. The majority of them are pretty singular in their purpose, though others can be used more creatively or widely. Here’s what each of them does:
- Firewyrm’s Amulet – Allows you to walk in low levels of lava.
- Nightfire Gem – Illuminates dark areas and reveals illusions.
- Stone Shoes – Allows you to walk normally on slippery surfaces.
- Spirit Cape – Passively restores your HP while standing still.
- Silver Chimes – Allows certain undead enemies to be defeated permanently.
- Spirit Necklace – Revives you with full HP when equipped, but breaks after a single use.
The Firewyrm’s Amulet and Silver Chimes are the simplest of the bunch, needing to be used in very specific scenarios and then not at all. The Stone Shoes have a slight bit more use against some slime enemies, like those that appear in the Clock Tower, as they stop you from slipping in their ooze.
The Nightfire Gem comes with the ability to reveal illusions, though this ability does not actually present itself until Valestein Castle, and that is one of the only times this extra function is observed. The Spirit Cape and Spirit Necklace are easily the highlights of them all, providing a more tactical advantage that is applicable throughout the whole game.
In the case of the Spirit Necklace, it is single-use and must be purchased again afterwards.
Where To Find Each Accessory
While it is unlikely to happen, every single accessory can be missed as none of them are actually mandatory to complete the game. While it might be difficult to do so without them, it is possible, and that means it is entirely possible you might bypass an accessory that would help you quite a bit.
To make sure you don’t fall into that unfortunate scenario, here’s where to find every single accessory in the game:
Accessory |
Where To Get It |
---|---|
Firewyrm’s Amulet |
In a chest after falling down a hole in the Zone of Lava. |
Nightfire Gem |
Given by Aida after giving her Bob’s Pendant. |
Stone Shoes |
Found in an icy cave in the interior section of Elderm Mountain. |
Spirit Cape |
Behind a wall that can be broken with the Terra Bracelet in the Illburns Ruins. |
Silver Chimes |
To the far-right of the lower section of the Dark Shrine. |
Spirit Necklace |
Purchased from Cynthia’s Curios shop in Redmont at any point. |
In the instance of the Nightfire Gem, it’s quite easy to go into the Abandoned Mine without ever realising there is an accessory to actually let you see your way around if you haven’t been talking to the NPCs around you.
Always make sure you talk to NPCs as they will often give hints on other accessories and secrets in the game.
The Spirit Necklace is the accessory you have to be most careful with though. It costs 60,000 Gold to purchase the first time, and breaks after a single use. It then doubles in price up to 120,000 Gold for the next one. Money like that is pretty hard to come by, so only use it when you absolutely need it, like during the final boss.
