Here’s how to best all who oppose you in Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana!

The Three Flying Succubi, Ligaty, is one such opponent and is arguably the most challenging encounter Adol faces up to this point as he tries to progress further into the Elderm Mountains. It won’t be easy taking them down, but with solid strategy and execution, you will be on your way to reuniting with Dogi in no time!

Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi Overview In Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana

Adol approaching Ligaty, the Three Flying Succubi in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Ligaty, the Three Flying Succubi, is the seventh boss fight in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana and looks to halt Adol’s progress up the Elderm Mountain. This encounter is extremely tough, so you might want to head into it fully prepared, or you will likely be here for a while.

Regarding Adol’s equipment, we recommend having the Banded Slayer and upgrading it to at least Level 2. Additionally, the Plate Mail and Small Shield should still suffice for this encounter if they are Max Level. You can also purchase a better Shield if you think that’s tripping you up, but this build should be more than satisfactory for this battle!

The Banded Slayer is a Sword that can be purchased from Cynthia in Redmont Town for a whopping 24,000 Gold, but that investment is well worth it. If you don’t have the Plate Mail yet, that can also be purchased from Cynthia for 3,500 Gold. Don’t forget to upgrade them before your encounter with the Ligaty!

Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi Information

Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi

HP

2,970 HP

Recommended Level

Level 26

Level 26 is where you want to be when taking on the Ligaty, as it is a very intense battle, requiring lots of Strength and Defense to persevere. If you are Level 24 or less, you should farm the enemies in the region until you are at least Level 25 if you want things to be more manageable.

Remember to check your equipment as well and ensure it is upgraded to at least what we have outlined above or better. While your Shield can be much better, fully upgrading the Plate Mail will cover that up nicely, allowing you to grab the Banded Slayer and upgrade it for a massive boost in damage!

How To Defeat Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi In Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana

Adol landing the finishing blow on Ligaty, the Three Flying Succubi, in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

As outlined above, this encounter can be brutal to deal with, as you are fighting three Succubi simultaneously, forcing you to pay attention to and dodge many different attacks from many different angles, giving you almost no time to breathe or attack. Fortunately, if you’re prepared, you can best the Ligaty pretty convincingly.

Since there are three of them, and each one does different attacks, we may have missed some of their attacks, but the general strategy remains the same and should still allow you to find success in overcoming their suffocating pressure and chaotic attacks!

Adol – Focus On One Succubus

Adol focusing on the Green Succubi during his encounter against the Ligaty in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

When the encounter begins, choose one of the three Succubi and focus on them entirely. This means you will essentially stick to them like glue, constantly attacking them. Not only does this defeat them faster, but it also prevents that specific Succubus from attacking, making things much more manageable.

You will still have to watch out for the attacks from the other Succubi, but they are easily avoidable at this stage in the fight. We chose the Green Succubus as the Red and Blue ones have pretty readable moves that make them easy to avoid. We recommend you do the same, but that choice is ultimately yours.

It’s also crucial to point out that the Ligaty all share the same health pool, meaning lowering it enough will trigger specific events in the encounter, which makes singling out one of them crucial if you want to move the battle along and pick them off faster!

Ligaty – Blue Feathers

The Blue Succubus launching a barrage of Blue Feather at Adol in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

While you’re pummeling the Green Succubus, the Blue Succubus will occasionally launch a volley of Blue Feathers at you. As soon as you see the Blue Feathers appear around the Blue Succubus, begin running up or down to have them land behind you, missing you completely!

Ligaty – Red Comet

The Red Succubus hurling toward Adol as a Comet in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

The Red Succubus will follow up with an attack of her own, flying high above the arena before hurtling herself toward you with tremendous force and speed, essentially becoming a Comet. When you see her begin plummeting toward you, either run up or down, away from her or time your Double Jump to clear her entirely!

Ligaty – Feather Barrage

The Red and Blue Succubi launching a volley of Feathers at Adol in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

After performing their individual attacks, the Red and Blue Succubi will combine their combat prowess and launch a barrage of Feathers at you, which can be extremely hard to dodge. As soon as you see them land next to one another, create as much space as possible.

As Feathers travel further out, they will begin spreading apart, revealing gaps between them, allowing you to navigate between them without taking damage. You can also try staying closer to them and utilizing your Double Jump to avoid them, but that is much harder!

Ligaty – Succubi Triangle

The Succubi gathering in a triangle to channel their energy in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Lowering their HP quite substantially will have the Ligaty gather in the middle of the arena, forming a Triangle before pooling their energy together for a big attack. However, if you have been focusing on one of the three Succubi this entire time, this won’t be much of an issue to deal with!

Adol – One Down, Two To Go

Adol defeating the Green Succubus in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Again, if you have been focusing on a specific Succubi this entire time when you reach this phase of the encounter, you should defeat the one you have been attacking nonstop up to this point. Defeating your primary target here will essentially make this attack a non-factor, allowing you to choose your next target!

Ligaty – Double Music Rings

The Red and Blue Succubi creating circles of Music Notes in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Immediately after defeating the Green Succubus, the Red and Blue Succubi will toss out Music Rings around themselves. You can leap over the Music Notes to get near one of them, allowing you to land a decent amount of attacks before they shake things up again.

Every once in a while, the Music Notes will be a bit more sporadically placed and moving about, so be mindful of that, as they can trip you up and deal substantial damage if you land on them!

Adol – Focus On Another One

It’s time to focus on another Succubus. We chose the Red Succubus because her attacks can pack a punch, and we don’t want to deal with that risk. Again, you can choose whichever one you want, but the following attacks and strategies may be a bit different depending on the situation!

Ligaty – Music Ring

The Blue Succubus creating a circle of Music Notes in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Following the first Music Rings, the Blue Succubus will send Music Notes forward by herself, creating two rows of them, making them harder to avoid. If you want, you can Double Jump over them and begin attacking the Blue Succubus for a bit, as the Red Succubus will be preparing their next attack!

Ligaty – Succubi Meteor Strikes

Now it’s time for the most irritating attack in the entire encounter, which can end your run instantly if you aren’t paying attention. You must dodge four back-to-back Meteor Strikes that deal immense damage on impact and create a sizable area of effect.

The Red Succubus will kick things off, flying high in the sky before soaring straight into the ground with intense force, creating a large explosion and shock wave. And once you think you have avoided it, the Blue Succubus will follow with the same attack.

From there, the Red Succubus will do another one, instantly followed by the Blue Succubus doing it again, totaling four devastating attacks in a row. Double Jump forward to avoid the first Meteor Strike, then run straight across the arena to have them barely miss you, crashing into the ground behind you. Do NOT stop moving until the fourth attack has finished!

Adol – Two Down, One To Go

Adol defeating the Red Succubus in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

If you have survived the Meteor Strikes, you are essentially golden, as you can focus on attacking the Red Succubus again, likely defeating them in only a few hits if you’ve been attacking them this entire time leading up to this moment. Now, there is only one left to go!

Ligaty – Blue Comet

The Blue Succubus hurtling itself into the ground as a Comet in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

With the Red Succubus defeated, the Blue Succubus will perform a Comet attack, similar to the one the Red Succubus did at the start of the encounter. It’s not as devastating as the Meteor Strikes, but you should still avoid it, as it can be fatal depending on how much health you have left!

Ligaty – Blue Music Ring

The Blue Succubus creating many Music Notes around itself in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Next up, the Blue Succubus will send out three waves of Music Notes around herself. Some will be in a straight line, while others will be grouped together, with some being entirely out of place, making it hard for you to get in. Double Jump over the notes into an open area and begin attacking her to deal considerable damage!

Ligaty – Blue Feathers

The Blue Succubus launching a volley of Blue Feathers at Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana.

Lastly, the Blue Succubus will unleash a volley of Blue Feathers at you, just as she did at the start of this battle. They will be avoided the same way, and you can even Double Jump behind her to avoid them if you’re quick enough, allowing you to land a barrage of attacks of your own.

These three attacks are pretty much all the Blue Succubus has access to, so you will be repeating the steps above until she is defeated, which shouldn’t be too hard, considering you took down the other two. Don’t forget about your Double Boost, either, as it replenishes your HP and raises your Attack and Defense substantially!
