How To Counter Black Panther
Black Panther is a hard hero to deal with, as he can swiftly close gaps, deal damage, and run away before you even get a chance to plan a counter. However, just like every other hero in the game, he has counters that completely shut down his kit.
The biggest counter to Black Panther is using heroes who can stun and lock him in place. This means he’s unable to use his extreme mobility, which creates a clearing opening for you to deal with him. Additionally, heroes who can leech out his health before he even jumps into a fight can counter him pretty well.
Make sure you deal with any healer who may be sticking with Black Panther during a dive. Additionally, keeping track of his movement, especially by assigning one player to check flank routes, can ensure Black Panther’s attack plans never lead to fruitful results.
How To Counter Black Panther As A Strategist
Playing as a Strategist can be hard against Black Panther, as he can shut you down very quickly. However, the best Strategists who can deal with Black Panther are Mantis and Luna Snow. Mantis can put Black Panther to sleep with Spore Slumber, which functions as a stun in this case.
Luna Snow can also stun Black Panther with her Absolute Zero ability and thereby create openings for the team. You can also use Jeff, though he is reliant on his ultimate ability, where he can swallow Black Panther and throw him off the map.
Cloak and Dagger are also good against Black Panther as they can blind enemies with the Terror Cape ability. Once blinded, Black Panther will get shut down in his path, thereby allowing your team to take him down easily.
Make sure to keep healing your allies when they are low and there’s a Black Panther in the enemy team, as he deals higher damage when targets are at lower health. It’s important to spam your heals as much as possible.
How To Counter Black Panther As A Vanguard
While playing Vanguard, there are a few heroes who can easily deal with Black Panther. The first one is Peni Parker, who can immobilize Black Panther with her Cyber-Web Snare ability. Additionally, she can also deploy the Bionic Cyber Nest ability, which will trigger while Black Panther tries to flank your team.
Venom is also pretty good against Black Panther, as the former can use his Cellular Corrosion ability to slow him down. If he doesn’t run away, then Black Panther will take a lot of damage, thereby interrupting his plans of attacking your team.
Hulk’s Radioactive Lockdown is good against Black Panther, though it’s hard to land. Groot can also make it hard for Black Panther to attack the team as his walls will stop the latter in his tracks.
How To Counter Black Panther As A Duelist
Any Duelist that can deal sustained damage to Black Panther will be able to counter him. Punisher and Scarlet Witch are quite good at that, as they can consistently track him and deal damage, thereby chunking out his health even before he can dive your backline. Iron Man is also a good counter as Black Panther can’t reach Iron Man in the sky, thereby making the latter an easy target.
There are also Duelists who can stun Black Panther, which is an effective way to counter him. For instance, Spider-Man is pretty good against Black Panther, as he can stun the Black Panther with the Spectacular Spin and Get Over Here abilities.
Squirrel Girl with the Squirrel Blockade ability can imprison Black Panther and thereby create openings for the entire team to take the latter down.
