On the Dark and Darker Steam page, all of the recent reviews say: “boring gameplay”. There’s no elaboration on what they mean by this, and the accounts appear to have been set up solely to leave these negative reviews, suggesting there’s a targetted campaign against the game
Dark And Darker Is Getting Review Bombed
Dozens of reviews all have the same message: “boring gameplay”.
These reviews are still up at the time of writing and take up almost the entirety of the recent reviews page. It seems to have been enough to impact the overall rating, as recent reviews are mixed, and overall reviews are mostly positive.
Not only are all of these accounts leaving identical reviews, but they also have a similar amount of other games in their library. From what we can see, they tend to have between 15 to 25 games on their account. The highest number I’m seeing is 29, which is a far cry from the accounts leaving other reviews, which can often have more than 100 purchased products to their name. From the examples I looked at, these also appear to be other free-to-play games, so whoever set these accounts up wouldn’t have had to spend any money to make them look legitimate.
