The Plan To Beat The Shinju Is Executed
- Konohamaru and Team 7 Befriend The Shinju
- The Backstabbing Begins
The previous chapter of Boruto was certainly very intriguing, and one of the most exciting parts of the chapter was Team 7 executing the master plan. As explained by Shikamaru, the plan is to separate the Shinju, befriend them, and betray them. The idea here is that the Shinju are like newborn children and not inherently evil. They can be spoken to, and at the same time, made peace with. Shikamaru intends to have Team 7 befriend them, and when the time is right, strike. The basis for this was set in the previous chapter. Konohamaru attempted to befriend Matsuri, given that he knew that she harbored feelings for him, while Sarada’s group dealt with the other Shinju, Ryu. This particular plot point is going to be developed further in the Boruto series, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see that.
Befriend them and then…betray them!! – Shikamaru
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 18 is going to be absolutely phenomenal, as this is where Konohamaru and Sarada are likely going to betray the Shinju. For one, fans know that Konohamaru will look for the perfect opportunity to strike at Matsuri. After all, he knows that stake and he cannot simply let Moegi remain as a tree. What exactly the chances of the strategy working are remains to be seen. But, what matters truly is that they now have a plan to beat the Shinju, and this idea is certainly very engaging for the fans, given that it isn’t just a simple battle.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 18 is also likely going to give fans a glimpse at Ryu and his growing relationship with the Konoha ninjas. This is where things certainly get very interesting. Although Team 7 has orders to kill Ryu, it is possible that they will arrive at a different conclusion to Shikamaru. They might actually try to befriend the Shinju, and see hope within them. Whether this gamble will work or not is something that fans will have to wait to see.
A Big Moment For Konohamaru and Sarada
Konohamaru Sarutobi And Sarada Uchiha Are Under The Spotlight
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 18 will most likely give fans the result of the very elaborate gamble made by Shikamaru through the characters of Konohamaru and Sarada. It is possible that these characters succeed in landing a critical blow at the Shinju. In fact, that is likely to happen. However, they will most definitely fail at killing them, because otherwise, the Shinju will just have fallen in the most ridiculous of ways. Fans will most definitely see combat between the Shinju and the Konoha Shinobi, as that is what excites all the readers.

Naruto Uzumaki was heavily nerfed in Boruto. One of his powers could be making a return.
As such, Ikemoto will most likely start a very intriguing plot development here in the Hidden Sand Village, and that is sure to excite the fans greatly. Above all, fans want these battles to be emotionally challenging enough to resonate deep within the Konoha ninjas. For Konohamaru, saving Moegi would mean betraying Naruto’s ideals and following Shikamaru’s path. At that same time, he needs to have the strength required to back his words up. He intends to become the Hokage of the village, and as he is, he stands absolutely no chance.
Konohamaru has to start being serious about his progress, because otherwise, he absolutely cannot be of any use to the village. Perhaps, this battle in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 18 will force him to utilize stronger powers in the face of danger.
Sarada’s case is going to be even more interesting, and that is simply down to the fact that she will most likely be more reluctant to betray Ryu. Sarada is a truthful character and betrayal and treachery aren’t in her blood. It is going to be interesting to see how she deals with this situation, or if she even takes the steps that were outlined by Shikamaru. It is entirely possible that Sarada wants to deal with this problem in her own way, and actually try to get back to Ryu. Fans will have to wait patiently to see what path Sarada ends up taking, but, it can be said, at the very least, that whatever she does, she will have a major battle right in front of her that she needs to get done with.
Kawaki’s Plan Set Into Motion
Kawaki Will Target Amado Soon
Quite easily, one of the most exciting parts of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 18 is the meeting between Kawaki and Amado. In the previous chapter, Boruto Uzumaki told Kawaki that the reason he is weaker is because he has limiters placed on his body, which is the work of Amado. Without these limiters, Kawaki is likely going to be on the same level as Boruto. But, to get them off, he has to go to Amado, which was set up at the very end of the last chapter. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 18 is going to be incredibly exciting in this regard, as Kawaki and Amado will continue their conversation.
Remove the limiters off my body, right now! – Kawaki
Of course, Amado knows that he has the upper hand in the negotiation here. As such, he will likely set some demands in order to release the limiters, and the most exciting of all ideas is for Amado to order Kawaki to put a karma on Delta’s body. This way, his daughter can return to life, just like he wants, and it is going to be a very exciting development.
Whether Boruto will show up or not remains to be seen, but, what fans know for sure is that Kawaki is certainly going to have a heated exchange in the upcoming chapter, with the potential for him to finally unlock his true powers. If that happens, then, the eventual battle between Kawaki and Boruto will be even more exciting.
Things are speeding up in the Boruto manga, and it appears increasingly likely that the Shinju will fall very soon. This also means that Kawaki will get his powers back, and that pushes the confrontation and the end of the Age of Shinobi closer than ever before. Fans still have many questions in regards to this particular plot point, and hopefully, the next few Boruto chapters will make things even clearer.
Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 18, is set to be January 20, 2025.
