There are hundreds of customization options available to players in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 that can be used to make each weapon feel different; from various-sized magazines to suppressors, grips, and sights.

There are dozens of different sights available to use in Black Ops 6, and each one can be customized further with unlockable reticles that change color and shape. While a player’s favorite reticle will come down to preference, some reticles offer a clearer or more vibrant sight picture to help players remain on target.

Green Dot And Purple Dot

The Default Dots With A Twist

• Cons: Slightly Blurry

The low-zoom scopes in Black Ops 6 all have the classic red dot sight by default. It’s a familiar reticle, first appearing in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2007, and offers a good point of focus when aiming at enemies that are close to medium-range.

How To Unlock The Green And Purple Dot Reticles

Some players might want the default dot to be a different color to stand out against the environments in Black Ops 6. If that’s the case, there is a Green Dot variant unlocked after getting 50 kills with the selected scope, or a Purple Dot option unlocked by getting 200 zombie kills.

Classic

Straight And Simple

• Cons: Uses Large Amount of Sight Picture

The Classic reticle is one of the simplest reticles alongside the original dot sights. It consists of a vertical and horizontal line that intersect in the middle, taking up a fair amount of the scope but giving a pinpoint aiming focus in the center.

How to Unlock The Classic Reticle

Despite being a simple design, and having the name “Classic”, players will have to put in a bit of work to unlock it. The Classic reticle is unlocked after getting 500 kills in Zombies while aiming down sight with the scope of choice.

Missile

Combining Two Elements

• Pros: Good Combination of Circles and Lines
• Cons: Center Circle Is Small

The Missile reticle takes a standard circle reticle and a crosshair-style reticle and merges them, with the circle having four small lines on the outside. This reticle provides good focus points while leaving space in the center to easily see targets.

How To Unlock The Missile Reticle

The Red Missile reticle can be unlocked by getting 100 kills on the chosen optic attachment, and there is a Purple version of the reticle that can be unlocked by getting 400 Zombie kills while aiming down sight.

Tri-Line

Time For T

• Pros: Clear Sight Picture
• Cons: Harder To Track Targets Above The Tri-Line

The Tri-Line reticle uses three lines, two horizontal and one vertical, and assembles them in a ‘T’ position. The reticle is aligned centrally like a crosshair, but the removal of the top vertical line gives extra space for the target to be seen.

How To Unlock The Tri-Line Reticle

Unlocking the Red Tri-Line reticle requires 350 kills in multiplayer with the desired optical attachment. There is an orange version of the Tri-Line reticle that can be unlocked after obtaining 1400 kills aiming down sight in Zombies.

Minimal

Less Is More

• Cons: Harder To Track Targets Above The Reticle

The Minimal reticle is similar to the Tri-Line reticle but made for larger magnification scopes like the Willis 3x. The minimal reticle features a T-shape with a very small red dot in the center to help with pinpoint accuracy.

How To Unlock The Minimal Reticle

To unlock the Minimal reticle, players need to get 150 kills while ADS in multiplayer, or rack up 600 zombie kills to get the purple variation of the reticle.

Waveline

Line Things Up

• Cons: Larger Outer Circle

Another reticle for the larger-zoom red dot and ACOG sights, the Waveline reticle, features a circle that is open at the bottom, with two small dots underneath and one in the center of the circle. This creates a similar effect as a circle dot sight, with extra dots to help with alignment.

How To Unlock The Waveline Reticle

To unlock the Red Waveline reticle, 250 kills while aiming down sight will be needed. To get the green version of the reticle, players will have to obtain 1000 Zombie kills while ADS.

Focused

• Cons: No Colors To Help Stand Out Against The Environment

Similar to the Classic reticle listed above, the Focused reticle takes a well-rounded approach and adds two simple elements to improve the focus. In the center of the four lines, a circle is formed with a very small blue dot in the center.

How To Unlock The Focused Reticle

The Focused reticle is the final unlock for the scopes that can use it and requires 500 multiplayer kills while aiming down sight. As it’s the final unlock, the Zombies equivalent is the Classic scope.

Circled

One downside of the standard red dot reticle is that it is blurry and can obfuscate the target in some situations. The circled red dot features a much clearer dot, surrounded by a thin circle for another layer of focus.

How To Unlock The Circled Reticle

The Circled reticle is the third unlock for the low-magnification reflex sights and can be unlocked after getting 150 multiplayer kills while aiming down sight. The blue version of the reticle can be obtained after getting 600 ADS zombie kills.

• Cons: None

For those wanting something that can be found in other shooters like Counter-Strike, there is the Crosshair reticle. This familiar choice features four small lines assembled in a cross, with a small dot in the middle separating them.

How To Unlock The Crosshair Reticle

To use the Crosshair reticle on the reflex sights, players will need to get 250 kills on their preferred sight. Getting 1000 kills in Zombies will reward players with a purple version of the crosshair reticle.

The Chevron reticle is very simple and highly effective on all types of weapons. Two small lines join diagonally, pointing upwards to the center. It takes up a small amount of the sight picture, is detailed, and has a fine point to focus on the target.

To unlock the best alternate reticle in Black Ops 6, players will have to get 450 multiplayer kills while aiming down sight. To get the blue variant of the Chevron, 1600 Zombie kills will be needed while aiming down sight.
