Summary
- Black Ops 6 microtransactions cost $800+ for all bundles, causing player outrage.
- Additional purchases like Season Pass and Vault Edition add up to almost $1,000.
Extortionate microtransactions in the Call of Duty games are nothing new, and the Fortnitification of the series is almost complete.
Expensive, lackluster bundles have had fans up in arms over recent years, with the recent Black Ops 6 x Squid Game crossover being the perfect example of this. For $25 you can get cosmetics that can only be used 50 percent of the time, and for an extra $8 you can get a character that might be difficult to see in dark sections of the map, deepening the claims that the game is, once again, going pay-to-win.

With microtransactions so egregious this time around, one player has decided to calculate the cost of purchasing every bundle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6—and it’s a lot.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Already Has $800+ Of Microtransactions Available
Over on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 subreddit, user sgtgiacomo spent the time figuring out how much it would cost to buy every bundle in the game. They found that when added together, every bundle in the store would cost 108,100 COD Points, or around $840. Bearing in mind, the game has only been out for around two months, and that’s a lot of microtransactions.
What sgtgiacomo’s calculations don’t take into account are the additional purchases available in the game, alongside purchasing the game itself.
Assuming you’re trying to get every cosmetic in-game, you’re going to need to buy the $100 Vault Edition. Up to this point, there has also been the Season 1 Season Pass and the Squid Game paid pass, which totals a further 2,400 COD Points, or around $25. Adding it all together, and we’re close to $1,000.
Of course, nobody is ever going to buy every skin; in fact, most people won’t buy any, but this total serves as a stark reminder of just how much money these companies are trying to extract from you. No wonder Black Ops 6 has lost 50 percent of its players, and there have been calls for Call of Duty to go free-to-play.

With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
