Will There Be A Fusion At The End Of Daima?

Will There Be A Fusion At The End Of Daima?

Summary

  • Join Bugs of the Demon Realm allow users to fuse into more powerful warriors.
  • Uncertainty lingers if the fusion will produce Vegito, Gogeta, or an entirely new character.
  • Fans anticipate a potential fusion between Goku and Vegeta in the climactic finale of Dragon Ball Daima.

The starting part of Dragon Ball Daima showed Goku, Shin, and Glorio traversing the Third Demon World, coming across many interesting people and places. The Demon Realm as a whole is a very interesting place, filled with fascinating concepts that many in the larger universe view as being incredibly strange, with one of the biggest examples of these being the various bugs that one can buy and consume.

There are quite a few of these bugs in the Demon Realm, coming in different colors that signify their unique properties, such as those that refill the user’s stamina, those that heal them from injuries, etc. However, the most interesting of these are the Join Bugs that allow 2 different users to temporarily fuse into a single, far more powerful warrior. So, let’s see whether such a fusion is in the cards for Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Daima.

How Will This Join Bug Fusion Work?

Vegito, Gogeta, or Something New Entirely?

First Appearance

Dragon Ball Daima, Episode 4, “Chatty”

Debut Date

November 1, 2024

As every fan of the series already knows, Goku and Vegeta have fused a few times in the past, forming two of the greatest and most powerful mortal warriors in the entire multiverse; Vegito and Gogeta. As for how strong these characters are compared to one another, they are essentially the same person, equal in every measure of power, only that their personalities differ. Vegito seems to have Vegeta’s more prideful personality and brawler fighting style, while Gogeta has a more skillful and precise fighting style with Goku’s kinder personality.

While they are equal in terms of strength, they are truly only different in terms of design and personality. So this begs the question: what is the deal with the Join Bugs and the fusion that comes from them? At the time of writing, there has been no further showing of these Bugs, so the nature of the fusion that comes from them is a mystery. It’s currently unknown whether the fusion birthed from the Join Bugs is Vegito, Gogeta, or something new entirely.

Will Daima Show A Brand-New Fusion?

The Possibilities Of A New Goku-Vegeta Fusion

Many fans were convinced that there was going to be a new fusion between Goku and Vegeta the moment Goku and friends went to a stop to grab the Join Bugs on the Third Demon World. If nothing was going to come out of it, there would be no reason to show the Join Bugs in the first place, so fans aren’t concerned with if the fusion will be shown; rather, they’re just concerned with when.

Such an important moment that many would love to see is likely being saved for the end of the series, where the heroes will finally face Majin Duu and the remaining forces of Arinsu. While these are currently being set up as the major antagonists of Daima, it’s entirely possible that the show may introduce a brand-new villain who will prove to be stronger than the ones before them. For now, though, the eventual final showdown will likely be Goku and Vegeta against Majin Duu and Arinsu’s forces, which may be where they could fuse.

A showdown like this also sets the stage for a fusion of villains, as Majin Duu and Kuu could fuse to form an incredibly powerful warrior who is also quite intelligent, a trait shown by Kuu in Episode 11. A villain with the strength of Majin Duu and the intelligence of Majin Kuu would be quite a formidable force, perhaps even greater than Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Vegeta, which may prompt the Saiyans to fuse.

By setting up the final battle as one that requires a fusion between Goku and Vegeta, the series is primed to have an incredible finale. Plus, this would also answer the pleas of many fans about finally seeing a fusion between these two go Super Saiyan 3, which has always been a topic of much contention until now, since Vegeta could never use the transformation before.

This day has made it all clear. You are better than me, Kakarot. You are the best.

However, there are some reasons why such a fusion may not be on the cards for the Daima finale. The chief of these is the fact that, while powerful, Majin Duu hasn’t really shown anything to warrant a fusion to defeat, especially considering how Vegeta was able to defeat the second Tamagami with barely any effort in his Super Saiyan 3 form. If something is in the cards for the villains, a massive power-up besides the fact is needed for Goku and Vegeta to have a real challenge.
