One of the most exciting things from My Hero Academia’s chapter 431 was the reveal of the hero rankings of class 1A. Finally, fans know where their favorite characters stand on the hero billboard, and it is safe to say that there are quite a few surprises.
7
Momo Yaoyorozu
Hero Rank: 19
Momo is known to be one of the most resourceful Heroes in My Hero Academia. By adulthood, she has attained the rank of the 19th Hero on the billboard. Momo might not be the strongest, but she is one of the most creative ones and her Quirk’s power is almost limitless.
Depending on her creativity, Momo can come up with absolutely incredible things in combat. Fans haven’t seen her full strength after the timeskip just yet, but given that she is among the top 20, fans have very high expectations from her.
6
Tokoyami
Hero Rank: 17
Tokoyami is one of the strongest characters in the entirety of My Hero Academia. He is the 17th-ranked hero on the billboard chart, and this certainly is a surprise to many fans. In fact, Tokoyami was expected by many to be in the Top 10, at the very least.
His power of Dark Shadow is monstrous, and fans saw it even going head-to-head with All For One in the Final War Saga. Despite everything, Tokoyami is ranked quite low, which is certainly a surprising decision from the author.
5
Bakugo
Hero Rank: 15
Continuing with surprising rankings, Bakugo, also known as Dynamight, finds himself in the 15th place on the Hero ranking list. Bakugo is quite easily one of the strongest Heroes, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he is the strongest right now.
Despite everything, Bakugo is the 15th-ranked Hero, which is largely down to his personality. Bakugo is revealed to have debuted on the hero rankings at position number four, but, due to his bad character and attitude, he eventually dropped down to 15. Right now, he maintains this position, but he isn’t entirely worried about his rankings.
4
Tenya Iida
Hero Rank: 13
Tanya Iida, also known as Ingenium, is quite a powerful Hero and, more importantly, a very responsible hero. Iida plays by the rules and always puts the safety of others ahead of himself. He’s also a very unique combatant, and fans know him to utilize immense speed while fighting.

It is safe to say that Iida is a monstrously powerful character and even though he isn’t often at the forefront of things, he has what it takes to succeed in the face of danger. With his powerful boosters, either can leave the vast majority of the characters in the dust, and that is what makes him truly special. He takes the 13th rank on the hero ranking charts.
3
Kirishima
Hero Rank: 12
Kirishima, also known as the Red Riot, is a very powerful Hero. He’s known for his incredible determination and guts in battle. Using his Hardening powers, he can take on and defeat just about any villain right now.
Kirishima is ranked 12, but he certainly has the potential to go higher. According to Kirishima, the fact that he is so low is largely down to him not going solo earlier. Now, however, he has taken the decision to go solo, which means that fans should expect to see him getting placed higher soon enough.
2
Shoji
Hero Rank: 9
Shoji is doing quite well for himself and fans know him to be in the top 10 of the Hero rankings, which is quite impressive. Currently, he is at number 9, and much of that is down to the fact that he went solo early.
Shoji has been impressive, although not as impressive as some other characters in My Hero Academia. That said, he’s easily one of the most underrated individuals, and his taking this position is certainly a nice touch by the author.
1
Shoto Todoroki
Hero Rank: 2
Finally, the only other individual from class 1A in the top 10 is none other than Shoto Todoroki. Also known as the Air Conditioning Hero, Shoto has successfully fulfilled his potential and he can still go even higher. Right now, Shoto is the number two hero, just like his dad, Endeavor, once was.
With the power of Half Cold Half Hot, Shoto is almost impossible to stop in combat. It is said that Shoto is relentlessly working and that his focus is not just on beating villains, but also keeping people around him happy. Shoto’s presence brings comfort to people, and at the same time, he makes them feel very welcomed, something that is in contrast to Bakugo.
