Apex Legends is perfect for the loot goblin on the go; they just have to make sure their friends are very forgiving. Items come in multiple tiers, from white to red, and can be what makes or breaks a game for a team. As a battle royale, hoarding loot is not something players can really do. Loot isn’t saved after a match, win or lose.
However, what it does offer is a fast-paced PvP shoot and loot, with every enemy knocked out offering more items to grab. For players who need that itch that demands new items scratched, this game offers almost constant satisfaction. Just be ready to deal with some really skilled players.

Mighty
Destiny 2 is an epic spacefaring romp through the solar system and boasts a huge array of ways to play through it, with three classes and multiple subclasses each. Progression in the game is entirely tied to loot, with players’ Light levels increasing with every higher-level item they pick up.
Players can earn loot in a variety of ways, dropping as “Engrams” from enemies both in the over-world and during missions, when completing challenges and quests from quest givers at the Tower (the game’s hub), or by completing raids with friends. The most powerful of these weapons allow players to create unique and powerful builds focused around elements, such as a cowboy built around increasing revolver damage every time they draw one, or becoming a mini lightning storm with electric weapons.

Mighty
Monster Hunter is Capcom’s massive ongoing fantasy franchise, with another installment on the way. Players do as the title says: Hunt monsters. These games are multiplayer RPGs that allow players to battle gigantic creatures either alone or with friends.
Weapons in Monster Hunter Rise are similar to what a class would be in another game, defining a player’s playstyle and offering different movesets. Hoarding weapons is actually worthwhile, as certain monsters are weak to certain types of damage, and therefore certain weapon types might be better against certain monsters. Players can break down the monsters they’ve defeated to offer new and unique crafting items to create loot, or get items and gear from traditional quest rewards. This means players always have an incentive to keep looting because each armor part might require a set of different materials from several monsters.

Strong
Set in the dystopian alternate timeline of the Cyperpunk tabletop game. Cyberpunk 2077’s themes of the dangers of greed and death sound like they shouldn’t mix with games for loot goblins, but the game’s colossal pool of weapons, armor, and cyberwar, with which V can wage war on corporations, begs to differ.
Hunting down weapons for a Cyberpunk 2077 build can be a blast. The game’s world features incredibly powerful unique items and blueprints for players to discover, and the main and side quests offer players a glut of iconic weapons such as Johnny Silverhand’s Malorian. The game even allows players to stash their items in any car or apartment, growing their hoard.

Final Fantasy 14 is an excellent MMO that offers a massive world for players to enjoy together. Players can play multiple classes, on multiple characters, and on multiple servers all around the world. And, of course, this comes with an impressive amount of loot to be collected.
Being so massive, the game offers several ways to acquire loot: Quests, dungeons, and raids are the most obvious, but treasure hunts and other methods have been added as well. Each of the game’s many dungeons offers a unique set of gear for players to loot from chests scattered around. This leads to a die roll, and whoever wants the gear and gets the highest roll wins.

Mighty
Borderlands 2 is arguably the king of looter shooters. Boasting a roster of six comedic heroes with extremely unique mechanics and their own tastes for weapons and loot, it’s difficult to get tired playing through the game. With Borderlands 4 on the way, looters should definitely try this classic.
Loot lovers will marvel over the sheer variety of weapons and variants available to them. These items can get wild when paired with the right class. For example, Krieg’s Hellborn skill tree, when combined with the “Flame Of The Firehawk” shield, can create an unkillable health regenerating pyromaniac, or players can try the rough rider for increased max health and 20% resistance to damage if they build him for melee. This goes for every character, with unique ways to play them simply based on the loot they’ve given them, let alone the class.
