The MOBA genre may be a bit niche, but players who play them tend to fall head over heels for certain games, keeping them alive for the long-haul. One of the most beloved and long-running games in the genre has been Smite, which is currently in its 11th year of service, so it only makes sense that its sequel has come along in the form of the aptly named Smite 2.
With Smite 2 in Early Access, there’s a lot of work left to be done on the god-focused title, but that doesn’t mean the current build is missing everything we’ve come to expect in modern games. If you’re curious about popular features like crossplay and cross-progression in Smite 2, read on.
Does Smite 2 have crossplay?
The Smite community is rather large and spans various platforms, and the same can be said for Smite 2. As such, you’re probably wondering if you can hook up with your pals who play the game on a different platform.
The answer is yes, Smite 2 features crossplay for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Teaming up with your friends on other platforms is as easy as adding them to your friends list in the game and then sending them an invite. It doesn’t get much easier than that.
Does Smite 2 have cross-progression?
In addition to playing with your favorite folks on different platforms, you may find that you want to play on different platforms yourself. That’s reasonable, but you’ll want to be sure that your progression can carry over between versions.
Here’s some good news for you. Smite 2 does feature full cross-progression for every version. So, if you’re looking to have your progress, cosmetics, and so forth carry over between platforms, just head over to the Smite 2 website and make sure all of your accounts are linked. It’s as simple as signing into any one of your current accounts and following the on-screen steps to link all of your progress together. Pretty sweet.
Smite 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
