Nintendo Switch 2 Leak Suggests The Joy-Cons Work A Mouse

With the number of Nintendo Switch 2 rumours floating around, no one would blame you for not knowing what is going on. The Switch 2 Will Never Be Able To Compete With The Switch

No matter how good the Switch 2 is, it just won’t have the same cultural impact as the original Switch.

We have no idea about what new features the console will come with, how it will possibly look, or even if it’s going to be called Switch 2. However, it seems we may have gotten a look at the actual Joy-Cons for Nintendo’s next handled device only yesterday. Now, it seems eagle-eyed fans may have deduced a major feature of the device from these images.

Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons Could Possibly Be Used As A Mouse

Based on the images which we wrote about yesterday, some people have spotted what looks like an optical sensor on the inner side of the jo-con. If you’re wondering what that is, just turn your mouse over and take a look. This has given rise to the speculation that the Joy-Cons will double up as a mouse.

While there is no way to confirm this, the square-shaped indent in the image definitely features something that looks like an optical sensor that you would find on the underside of a computer mouse. Also, all of this would only stand true if the original image is legitimate in the first place.

One comment on Reddit also pointed out that “this would corroborate the first leak when the user said there will be a surprise on the top of the new Joy-Con. When asked about it he said he could not say much except “think lasers”.

If all of this is indeed true, this innovation could open up so many more genres to the Nintendo Switch 2. First-person shooters and real-time strategy games, that are ideally played with mouse and keyboard, would be much easier to play in the second iteration of the device than the first one.

However, none of this has been confirmed by Nintendo, so remember to take it with a pinch of salt.
