The Mass Effect trilogy is all about the choices you make and how those choices dictate your relationships with the rest of your party. That sentence alone will have sparked reactions from some of you, whether they be reminders of characters from the games you hate, or memories of ones you romanced. As for whether you wound up with the right person in your latest playthrough, there’s now a fanmade quiz that tells you who on the Normandy suits you best.
The quiz was created by Reddit user td1801 and shared on the Mass Effect subreddit, and it might be a little reductive to label it a quiz. Since it also lets you know which Mass Effect character you’re most like, it’s more of a personality test. That’s right, not only can you find out who your perfect partner is in Mass Effect by answering 25 multiple-choice questions, but you also don’t need to be boring old Shepard in this scenario. Unless the test labels you a Shepards, that’s a possibility.
Okay, maybe calling Shepard boring is a little harsh, but who among you would have chosen to be a human in Mass Effect if there were other options?
Each of the questions has four options to choose from, kicking off with what you’d do at a party and asking you things like how you’d help a friend in need and what you would do in a dangerous situation along the way. Much like Mass Effect’s dialogue wheels and decision trees, each answer you give will change the course you take, the results labeling you the character from the series you’re most like, and which of the cast would be your best life partner.

I took the test myself and apparently, I’m Tali since I’m “resourceful and loyal”. A result I’m over the moon with not only due to the flattering description but also because Tali is one of my favorite characters from the trilogy. The only downside is the result gave me flashbacks to what happened to Tali during my most recent playthrough of Mass Effect 2‘s suicide mission. I won’t recount it here, partly to avoid spoilers, but also because it’s too difficult.
As for my perfect Mass Effect romantic partner, I got Dr. Chakwas. That’s right, this test is so in-depth that you might end up with someone you can’t romance in the games. That’s all well and good until the test leaves you shacked up with The Illusive Man. Take the test yourself and share your results in the comments below.
