Making meals in Disney Dreamlight Valley is important as players need the energy to be able to go fishing, mining, or do any other tasks within the game before their character gets too tired. With the Storybook Vale DLC being released, there are many new recipes, including Nutmeg Cake, which this guide will explain how to make.

One of the more recent recipes that has been added is Nutmeg Cake, as part of The Storybook Vale expansion. This meal does require more ingredients than other meals and is a bit harder to make. But this guide will break down how to get every ingredient required for this dish. It is also important to note that players will need Storybook Vale DLC to make this meal. Players who want this meal will need to own the DLC, as they won’t be able to get the ingredients from someone else as they are locked to the expansion. Below are the ingredients required to make Nutmeg Cake.

  • Wheat x1 – The first ingredient is Wheat. This ingredient is extremely common within Peaceful Meadow and Ancient Landing. Players can acquire this ingredient by either Goofy’s Stall or gardening. Players will need to ensure Goofy’s Stall is level 1. It only costs 3 Star Coins. If the player wishes to grow the ingredient, then it will take 1 minute outside of Peaceful Meadow or Ancient Landing. Within these biomes then it only takes 54 seconds.
  • Shovel Bird Eggs x1 – The second ingredient is Shovel Bird Eggs. This ingredient is the most common within the Storybook Vale DLC. These eggs can be found within The Blind at Goofy’s Stall. This stall needs to be upgraded to level 2 and then the eggs become available to be purchased. They do cost 160 Star Coins and this is the only way to obtain these eggs at the time of this writing.
  • Plain Yogurt x1 – The third ingredient is Plain Yogurt. This ingredient is similar to Shovel Bird Eggs. Being found in Everafter at Goofy’s Stall, this ingredient can only be unlocked after getting Goofy’s Stall to level 2. Plain Yogurt can be bought from Goofy’s Stall once upgraded for 240 Star Coins.
  • Nutmeg x1 – The last ingredient is Nutmeg. This ingredient can only be found within Mythopia. While it does not cost anything to obtain this ingredient, it can be found by foraging from the Nutmeg Tree. Once harvested, it will give the player 3 Nutmegs, and will take 35 minutes for the Nutmeg Tree to be harvested again.

Once the player has all the required ingredients, they need to head towards a cooking station. Placing all the ingredients into the cooking pot with a piece of coal will make the Nutmeg Cake. This meal is classified as a Meal and can be found under Desserts and is considered a 5 Star Dessert. It can sell for 370 Star Coins and restores 1,891 Energy.
