Here’s how to get 6-Star Fast Friends in Roblox: Sonic Speed Simulator!
With so many uses, you might find your pockets empty of Red Star Rings – and we’re here to help! Here are all the best ways to earn Red Star Rings in-game, with a few methods you might not have thought of. Following this, you should be swimming in riches in no time, so let’s dive in.
Red Star Rings can be abbreviated to RSR, and the game commonly refers to them as such, so in this guide we will also be using the term when referring to large sums of Red Star Rings.
How To Find Red Star Rings
Red Star Rings can be found on the ground in every world. Each Zone has 25 Red Star Rings hidden about, and each one you find will add 10 RSR to your balance. With a total of 14 Zones, this means 3,500 RSR are just waiting to be picked up. Once found, these Red Star Rings are counted as collected, and will not respawn in the same spot again.
Complete Events
Events are sets of quests which need to be completed in order to get a Character, Mount or other. Each Event also has a nice sum of Red Star Rings alongside the final prize, and the sum usually sits around 2,000 RSR.
Each Zone has a permanent Event which can be completed at any point. These permanent Events are very rarely removed from the game, and are mostly tied to the area they’re located in. For example, Hill Top has an Event called Marnie’s Journey, where you have to collect Chao Fruit around Hill Top. Completing the Event will reward you with Marnie the Racoon, and 2,000 RSR.
Some permanent Events do give less than this, but are in turn easier to complete.
Other than permanent Events, Seasonal and Limited Events can also appear. These only stay for a short while, usually two weeks or up to a month, and come with their own collectibles or enemies that need to be completed while the Event stays. These Events always reward 2,000 RSR, and a Character that will only be obtainable while the Event is there.
Open Golden Eggs
Whilst you’re running around at the speed of sound, every step you take is counted towards opening a Golden Egg. These can be found in the Shop, and upon opening one you have a chance to get many rewards, Red Star Rings being one of them. This is a great way to make a passive income as you play, as there’s nothing special that you need to do to get these. Every 50 Golden Eggs you open, you can open three Premium Eggs, which have a way higher chance for Limited Characters.
If you’re looking to farm Golden Eggs though, we do have a trick for you to use…
Farm Golden Eggs
When you’re on a flat rail, you don’t gain or lose speed. You can speed up by boosting, but you will never slow down naturally. This is a common trick people use to farm steps, and, in turn, Golden Eggs.
For this, we recommend visiting Metal City Skatepark. Left from spawn, there is a flat rail that goes in an oddly-shaped circle; and since it’s flat, it’s the perfect candidate for this trick to work. Hop on the rail, and start boosting until you reach 655 Speed, which is the hard limit for rail speed. Now, just wait for the Golden Egg notification to show up, claim it, and wait for the next one to be ready.
This way, you can expect to open Golden Eggs every few minutes!
Fast Pass Rewards
The battlepass system of the game, the Fast Pass, has a few Red Star Rings in store for consistent players, alongside Characters, Trails and Chao. The Fast Pass requires you to clear challenges which are tied to each Zone, so you’ll need to visit each Zone to start its respective challenge.
Finishing challenges rewards you with Fast Pass tickets, which advance you through it, and they refresh every couple of hours. They can be simple tasks like collecting Rings anywhere, or they can be specialized tasks like collecting Animals in Metal City Skatepark. The harder the challenge is to complete, the more tickets you’ll earn.
Spin For Red Star Rings
Every four hours, you can spin the Spinner wheel once. From this, there is an eight percent chance you land on Red Star Rings, and a solid 200 RSR at that; so don’t forget to spin the wheel every now and again.
More importantly, however, after 50 spins you will get one spin on the Legendary Spinner. Here, you can stand to gain far more impressive rewards on average, and in the case of landing on Characters, you can trade them away for far more substantial amounts of RSR.
Auto-Run Rewards
From the in-game ways to gain RSR, this is the easiest, but also the slowest way. Many Zones will have an Auto-run feature where your character will passively run around the Zone and collect Rings and XP. Every five minutes though, you will gain 10 RSR alongside those rewards. You can leave the game to Auto-run overnight, and come to reap the rewards in the morning.
We recommend first getting a few Fast Friends, so that you can also gain Steps for Characters while you’re doing this. If you have any with the Magnet stat, it will also benefit you to have them as they’ll collect Rings for you too.
Spend Race Tickets
Doing Races awards you with Race Tickets, which can be used to buy Red Star Rings directly. We don’t recommend this method, but if you’re only missing a few RSR for something urgent, it can come in handy. That said, we recommend you buy Characters here instead, because the next method is by far the best.
Trade With Others
The Sonic Speed Simulator community is one of the best we’ve seen on Roblox. There are many Sonic fans who just want to collect every Character, and the Trading system is where this comes to shine the hardest!
If you have Characters, Chao or Trails that you don’t need but someone else really wants, you can trade them up for RSR. A consistent way of getting Characters is by doing the Races we mentioned earlier, as you can purchase them again if you trade them away. Golden Eggs also provide you with many duplicates of Characters if you farm them for a long time, and the Legendary Spinner is a practical guarantee of a very valuable Character.
Make New Accounts
If you feel like you’ve finished everything there is to finish in the game, and there is nowhere left to look for Red Star Rings other than just doing Auto-run, you can make a new Roblox account and start fresh there! This can be done as many times as you’d like, and by doing so you’ll accumulate a lot of duplicates of Characters which can be traded away.
During Events, this strategy is especially useful, as the limited-time Characters can be traded for a lot of RSR, and you’ll still get the 2,000 RSR bonus for completing the Events too!
Purchase Red Star Rings Directly
Finally, if you’d like to just cash in a big sum of Red Star Rings, you can purchase them directly.
In Green Hill Zone, there are a few podiums next to the Fast Friend Vending Machine where you can buy Red Star Rings alongside a few Fast Friends using Robux. These aren’t generally considered good purchases, as purchasing Characters that can be traded, or Gamepasses which boost your income in other ways, are way better if you’re looking to spend Robux, but this is an option if you’re in a rush to get Red Star Rings ASAP.
