Summary
- Yumemizuki Mizuki is the new 5-Star Anemo character in Version 5.4, set in Inazuma.
- Mizuki’s role is similar to Sucrose with healing abilities in Genshin Impact.
- Version 5.4 will feature only one new character and one Story Quest, with fewer Primogems available.
Genshin Impact has officially unveiled Yumemizuki Mizuki as a 5-Star Anemo character from Inazuma, set to make her playable debut in Version 5.4. With Version 5.3 expected to wrap up the storyline in Natlan, Genshin Impact is preparing its players for a small adventure in Inazuma in the upcoming update. Its Flagship Event will take place in Inazuma and will largely revolve around the yokai, with Yae Miko taking center stage.
Mizuki in Genshin Impact has been heavily rumored as a playable character since late 2024, with many leaks pointing towards her becoming Inazuma’s first Standard Banner character. The beta for Version 5.4 confirmed Mizuki’s Standard Banner status, but also revealed her ability kit and intended role. As a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst, Yumemizuki Mizuki can be viewed as a premium Sucrose with healing abilities. While there are niches where Sucrose excels over Mizuki, her flexible role should give the new 5-Star a place in most Taser teams.

Genshin Impact Leak Teases New Version 5.4 Event
A recent leak from Genshin Impact is hinting at a new character-focused event set to come to the game during the upcoming Version 5.4 update.
The official Genshin Impact account revealed Yumemizuki Mizuki on Twitter a week later than expected, as drip marketing continues to be wildly unpredictable since Version 5.3. Though Mizuki was known to be a tapir yokai for a while, the drip marketing revealed her to be a psychologist and majority owner of Aisa Bathhouse. Mizuki appears to be an old friend of Yae Miko in Genshin Impact, and as such, it’s highly likely that Mizuki will make her introduction during the Flagship Event. That being said, Genshin Impact players can also expect a Story Quest for Mizuki in Version 5.4.
Genshin Impact: Yumemizuki Mizuki
- Title: Embrace of Enchanting Dreams
- Rarity: 5-Star
- Vision: Anemo
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Constellation: Tapirus Somniator
In terms of Event Banners, Version 5.4 is expected to feature Mizuki and Wriothesley in the first half of the patch, with Furina and Sigewinne headlining the second half. It should be noted that Mizuki will be folded into the Standard Banner in Genshin Impact after Version 5.4 and that collection-oriented players should instead focus on obtaining her Signature Weapon.
Though Version 5.3 is stacked with content, Version 5.4 is significantly smaller in scope. It will only feature one new character in Genshin Impact, one Story Quest, no Artifact Domain, and it will have no new map expansion. As such, the number of Primogems that players will be able to obtain in Version 5.4 is lower than average. Unless they find a character from the Chronicled Banner in Version 5.3 especially enticing, players should try to save their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, especially if they want to obtain Fontaine superstars such as Furina or Wriothesley.
