What is Black Ops 6 equipment? While your primary method of combat in Call of Duty games will always be the gun in your hand, the equipment in your back pocket shouldn’t be overlooked. Grenades, remote-controlled cars, and even throwing knives can play their part on the battlefield. Knowing what to use in each situation can be the key to success.
Long-time fans may recognize some returning gadgets and should be excited by the prospect of new ways of dispatching their enemies in the multiplayer game, and we all know that shooting things isn’t always the best way to go about things. Sometimes you need a tactical advantage if you want to decimate the opposition and build up your Black Ops 6 prestige level.
All Black Ops 6 equipment
Here is every piece of Black Ops 6 equipment:
Lethal equipment
Here is every lethal and its unlock requirement:
Lethal | Level |
Frag | 0 |
Sticky Grenade | 9 |
C4 | 14 |
Thermo Grenade | 21 |
Impact Grenade | 26 |
Molotov | 32 |
Blast Trap | 41 |
Drill Charge | 50 |
Combat Axe | 53 |
Frag Grenade
The bread and butter of lethal equipment, the cookable Frag Grenade is back in Black Ops 6. If an enemy throws one at you, make sure you send it back – it’s only polite.
Sticky Grenade
They say in FPS games you should find what sticks and stick to it… unless it’s a small, timed explosive. The Sticky Grenade is handy as it can attach to your surroundings, ensuring that it doesn’t bounce away from its intended destination.
C4
A short-range throwable explosion charge that has to be manually detonated by the player. Huge damage, huge explosion radius.
Thermo Grenade
Burn, baby, burn. We’re not sure about Disco Inferno, but you can always rely on a thermo to turn up the heat. This ‘nade creates a big ol’ fuel-air cloud that combusts after a short time.
Impact Grenade
A grenade that explodes upon impact with the environment or another player. Excellent for those enemies hiding behind cover, as you can create a precise explosion in their radius.
Molotov
A throwable that creates a patch of flames wherever it lands, excellent for flushing players from a fixed position or to zone enemies away from an objective.
Blast Trap
The Blast Trap is very similar to a claymore in the sense that it detonates in proximity to enemies. Likewise, enemies can bypass it if they’re careful, though in this case it requires slowly creeping past. Considering BO6’s breakneck pace, though, you’re probably best off trying to avoid tight corridors.
Drill Charge
A throwable explosive charge that sticks to the first surface it hits and drills down, because detonating. Perfect for hitting enemies enclosed in a small space.
Combat Axe
Pretty self-explanatory. Get an axe, throw the axe. The Combat Axe also bounces off of surfaces, so bonus points if you hit ’em with a bounce back.
Tactical equipment
Here is every tactical and its unlock level:
Tactical | Level |
Concussion | 0 |
Flashbang | 6 |
Spy Cam | 12 |
Smoke | 17 |
Prox Alarm | 23 |
Stim Shot | 30 |
Decoy | 35 |
Shock Charge | 42 |
Concussion Grenade
If you’re having an off day, pick up the Concussion Grenade. Landing one slows the victim’s movement and aiming long enough for you to get your crosshair in place.
Flashbang Grenade
If concussion grenades aren’t your bag, then the noble Flashbang Grenade is your best friend. These grenades blind those unfortunate enough to be in its line of sight when it goes off, pretty much completely removing any way for enemies to fight back. Just don’t flash yourself…
Spy Cam
A gadget that marks enemies and hostile equipment and scorestreaks for your team. Place on objectives to get the upper hand when on defense.
Smoke Grenade
A throwable that creates a dense cloud of smoke, obscuring vision for enemies and teammates alike. Use to mask an approach, or to create a safe exit point for you and your team.
Stim Shot
If you somehow manage to not get lasered in 0.2 seconds then the Stim Shot can help you quickly reengage by healing you up and refreshing your tactical sprint. It’s a two-for-one deal.
Prox Alarm
The Prox Alarm offers up not one but two sticky alarms that ring out and flash aggressively when an enemy gets close. What’s more, tripped alarms show up on allied minimaps, so everyone knows where to make a beeline.
Decoy Grenade
If being an absolute menace is your forte, give the Decoy Grenade a go. This unassuming device simulates footsteps and gunfire sounds, disorienting enemies. Oh, and it sticks to surfaces, so you can simulate death from above if you want to tweak out those 7.1 surround sound setups.
Shock Charge
A trap that sticks to surfaces, stunning enemies if they get too close. Useful for creating a safe perimeter around an objective.
Field upgrades
Here is every field upgrade and its unlock level:
Field Upgrade | Level |
Assault Pack | 0 |
Scrambler | 18 |
Signal Lure | 27 |
Morphine Injector | 44 |
War Cry | 35 |
Spring Mine | 0 |
Tactical Insertion | 39 |
Trophy System | 12 |
Neuro Gas | 48 |
Acoustic Amp | 41 |
Sleeper Agent | 51 |
Assault Pack
Assault Pack drops a box of ammo and equipment, giving your team a helpful little mid-round resupply. If you’re good at not dying, this is one for you.
Spring Mine
A trap that triggers when an enemy is near. It bounces up before exploding, ensuring that anyone standing takes maximum damage.
Scrambler
Disrupts enemy equipment, field upgrades, scorestreaks, and minimaps in a radius. Place one of these on an objective to disorient enemies as they approach.
Signal Lure
Reveals your position on enemy minimaps but you earn extra score for kills, and for how long you survive. Come and get me.
War Cry
Create a radius around yourself that boosts ally move speed and health regeneration for a short period.
Tactical Insertion
Put down a flare to mark a point on the map, you’ll then respawn on this point the next time you die.
Trophy System
The Trophy System is the perfect antidote for those pesky projectiles, as it dutifully destroys them mid-air. Thanks, Trophy System.
Neurogas
Deploying a Neurogas trap is rather dastardly, seeing as the neurotoxic gas cloud it emits causes severe hallucinations, and disorienting and damaging victims caught in it.
Morphine Injector
For a short period, lethal damage will instead put you in a state of last stand, as opposed to killing you outright. Your teammates can come to your aid and revive you.
Acoustic Amp
If you love locking into sound cues, then Acoustic Amp is made for you. This handy piece of Black Ops 6 equipment makes enemy footsteps louder, helping you scout out their exact position.
Sleeper Agent
Perhaps our favorite piece of equipment in BO6, Sleeper Agent lets you disguise yourself as an enemy teammate, appearing as them for a short duration. What’s more, picking up eliminations will extend its duration. It’s not perfect, though, as getting shot or picked up by recon equipment – a UAV or Prox Alarm, for example – will reveal you.
That’s every bit of equipment you have at your disposal in Black Ops 6. If you’re planning on jumping into the multiplayer arena, take a look at our best Black Ops 6 loadouts so you’ll always have the edge.
