There are quite a lot of new sets and products coming in 2025 for Pokemon TCG‘s tabletop version, though this year is likely to be equally stacked for the recently released Pokemon TCG Pocket as well. Not everything has been officially revealed so far for Pokemon TCG sets and products scheduled for this year, but some big releases are already confirmed for early 2025.
Pokemon TCG‘s Surging Spark set closed 2024 with a bang thanks to the highly sought-after Special Illustration Rare Tera Pikachu Ex. This rare card skyrocketed in price after launch, reaching around $500 in value, but 2025 is starting on the same high note with its first major set – Prismatic Evolutions.

Prismatic Evolutions – January 17, 2025
Prismatic Evolutions is already primed to be one of the biggest releases for Pokemon TCG of the year, if not in recent memory, and that’s thanks to its focus on Eevee and the various Eeveelutions, each getting both an Ex version and a Special Illustration Rare version. These are likely to be the most valuable cards of the set due to Eevee and its evolutions’ popularity, especially seeing the great art on each of the cards. The main set releases on January 17, 2025, but there will be additional releases that span a few months’ time. The available products include:
- Prismatic Evolutions booster packs and booster boxes – January 17
- Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box – January 17
- Prismatic Evolutions Binder Collection – January 17
- Prismatic Evolutions Poster Collection – January 17

Small Pokemon TCG 2025 Releases To Keep an Eye On
There are other already confirmed small releases not tied to specific new Pokemon TCG sets coming in 2025, and some of them are worth mentioning. These include:
- Scarlet and Violet 151: Blooming Waters Premium Collection – Feb 7
- World Championships 2024 Decks: Evan Pavelski’s Regidrago VStar Deck, Fernando Cifuentes’ Crushing Thorn Deck, Jesse Parker’s The ‘Don Deck, and Sakuya Ota’s Ancient Toolbox Deck – March 7
Considering that Pokemon TCG’s 151 set is still very hard to find in stock, Blooming Waters could be a good way for fans to get some booster packs, as the collection contains 12.
Journey Together – March 28, 2025
While Prismatic Evolutions is likely to be a huge seller for Pokemon TCG, it’s merely the first big set of the year, and more will follow. Another big release is going to be Pokemon TCG‘s return to Trainer’s Pokemon cards with the Journey Together set, which is set to launch on March 28 and is based on the Japanese set called Battle Partners from January 24, 2025. Journey Together will see big-name trainers from the video games come back in the new Trainer’s Pokemon collection, such as N, Hop, and Iono.
Predicting Other Big Pokemon TCG Releases For 2025
Beyond Journey Together, what comes for Pokemon TCG is up to speculation. Based on the usual release pattern for new sets and products, the next big drop could be a set in June 2025, then one around September/October, and finally one in November/December. It’s likely that the speculated June 2025 set will contain cards from the upcoming Japanese sets called Heat Wave Arena (March 14, 2025) and The Glory of Team Rocket (April 18, 2025). Likewise, the September/October English release may be tied to the Black Bolt and White Flare sets for Pokemon TCG in Japan.
