Many Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket players believe the game’s premium rewards are lackluster and aren’t shy about speaking their minds on the subject. Players can acquire unique rewards in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket by subscribing to its paid Premium Pass, but its mission rewards leave some Pokemon fans with buyer’s remorse.
Pokemon TCG Pocket launched in late October 2024, giving fans of the popular trading card game a new way to play on their mobile devices, cutting deck sizes down to 20 and eliminating Energy cards entirely. While free to play, the mobile game allows players to purchase some items with actual cash and includes a Pokemon TCG Pocket Premium Pass for players who want extra missions to complete and rewards to receive.

At the beginning of January, a new batch of Pokemon TCG Pocket Premium Pass benefits gave subscribers the ability to unlock some exclusive Charizard gear including a coin, playmat, and card sleeves. The pass also brings subscribers a free Moltres ex card with exclusive promo artwork. Additionally, it introduces an extra set of missions that yield Premium Tickets to purchase exclusive accessories for play spaces. Some players like Reddit user dams96 are disappointed in the rewards for other premium missions that only offer a few extra Pack Hourglasses and Wonder Hourglasses, items that can be easily obtained by leveling up or completing non-premium missions.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Premium Players Want Better Rewards
While not rare items, the extra rewards for premium missions can give players an advantage, letting them complete more card pack openings and Wonder Picks in Pokemon TCG Pocket to boost the quality of cards in their decks. Still, this player argues that the quantity of these items isn’t significant enough to justify premium content. For example, collecting 77 cards will earn Premium Pass players two Pack Hourglasses and two Premium hourglasses, cutting two hours off of a single pack draw and Wonder Pick, respectively, but all players receive four packs of hourglasses every day just for logging into the game.
While many players share this sentiment, other Premium Pass holders think they’re looking at the premium rewards the wrong way. These players argue that the true benefits of the Premium Pass are the unique Pokemon TCG Pocket promo cards and cosmetic items that come with a paid membership, seeing the extra hourglasses simply as a secondary reward.
