Almost three decades since it began, the Pokemon franchise continues to go from strength to strength. The immense popularity of the games, anime, and trading card game across multiple generations of players has led to tons of fan creations being created over the years. It can be quite difficult for fan creations to stand out from the crowd, a direct result of the sheer number of Pokemon fans worldwide. It’s always interesting to see what makes headlines in the Pokemon fan community, though. Just recently, another Pokemon fan created some custom skateboard decks, showcasing the variety of talents in the community.

Pokemon Arcanine Fan Art Shows Fire-type in Its Natural Habitat

Arcanine comes from Generation 1, meaning it has been part of the Pokemon franchise since the very beginning. Generation 1 Pokemon tend to be more popular than most others because fans have had the longest time becoming familiar with them. This typically results in a lot of fan creations based on Generation 1 when compared to other Pokemon Generations. There was even one Pokemon fan who recreated the entire Generation 1 Pokedex in Minecraft, showing dedication to some of the series’ earliest designs.

It will be interesting to see what 2025 holds for the Pokemon series. Currently, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set for release this year, although little else is known about the franchise’s plans for 2025. Looking further, 2026 will mark the series’ 30th anniversary, so it would not be a surprise if The Pokemon Company has something unknown up its sleeves for that year. Nothing is confirmed about Generation 10 at the moment, so 2026 is one possibility there, although this is purely speculation.
