Choices That Affect STALKER 2’s Ending
There are 3 key missions where players will make choices that affect which ending they will get. These missions include Subtle Matter, Dangerous Liaisons, and The Last Wish. Luckily, these missions are all at the latter part of the game, meaning players can progress all the way to Legends of the Zone, then make a manual save. This will let them experience all possible endings without needing to replay the entire game.
She Will Never Be Free
- Subtle Matter: Life is for the living
- Dangerous Liaisons: [Escape]
- The Last Wish: [Fire]
Stelok wishes to protect the zone, so making choices that seek to accomplish this goal will have the player side with Strelok and have them take control of the Zone. Players just need to make enemies of all other factions to get onto this path. This includes rejecting Scar, running from Korshunov, and shooting Kaymanov. Strelok is another character that has appeared in past titles, and it is well worth reading up on their lore.

For the next ending, players need to repeat the same choices as the previous ending. However, instead of shooting Kaymanov, they will lower the gun and side with them. He is a man of science that wishes to see what will become of the Zone if left to its own devices, and that it has a right to not be under the control of anyone else.
Today Never Ends
- Subtle Matter: Eternal spring
- Dangerous Liaisons: [Escape]
- The Last Wish:
Another fearsome faction in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is Spark. This faction is led by the protagonist of one of the franchise’s past games, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky — named Scar. Helping Scar will lead to him entering a pod that he believes will take him to the Shining Zone. While some missions require you to make choices in all 3 of these important missions, The Spark ending only requires players to make choices in 2 of them.
Brave New World
- Subtle Matter: Life is for the living
- Dangerous Liaisons: I’m not your enemy
- The Last Wish: N/A
There are numerous factions in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, one of which is The Ward. Making these choices will have the player siding with Colonel Krushunov in a campaign to destroy the zone for good. Just like with the Spark Ending, there are only 2 missions that matter when making your choices.
