There are many important choices to make in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and these can dramatically shape the player’s experience with the game. So it is worth noting that the main mission that precedes this mission can be different depending on the player’s choice from Wishful Thinking.
Just Like the Good Old Days is a main mission that will begin after players have accomplished either To the Last Drop of Blood, or Law and Order. Both of which will end with players needing to escape from the SIRCAA.

Talk to Professor Lodochka at Wild Island in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
The first course of action will be to head to the mission marker on Wild Island. This is where players will be able to find Professor Lodochka at Quite’s Camp. However, once they reach this area, there will be a new objective that takes priority, dispatching some mercenaries that are in the area. Players will not have to worry about these enemies hiding behind any corners, as they will all become marked by mission markers.
It is a good idea to have some good gear, as these will not be the only enemies players will engage during this mission. Dispatch all the enemies to complete the objective at hand and get a single mission marker that can lead you to Lodochka. Players will have an optional objective added at this point — to Active the Ventilation System.
Activate the Ventilation System
If you wish to complete this side objective, open up your map and check your marked points on the map. One of which will lead you right to a fuse in the area you are currently in. Open up the map after picking up this fuse, and you will see a marked point directly north of you. This will be to get to the engineering rooms. Players will need to deal with an invisible enemy lurking in this area, so be ready.
Head inside the shelter and follow the passageways to get to the Engine Room. You will be able to use the fuse you picked up earlier to restore the power to the Ventilation System. You will now be able to continue with the mission.
Completing this optional objective will not yield any spcial look, but it will make the rest of the mission easier to complete.

Find the Source of the Signal in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
Players may want to consider getting some good weapons before heading to the next objective, as things can get pretty challenging. Head to the marked location, and you will find a cave entrance near the waterside. Players will need to navigate the caverns by heading west, following the path down, and then through the various hazards. You will find a broken pipe you can use to get to the higher levels of the cave.
Head towards the marked area to find a large cone-shaped spire. The Emitter can be obtained at the marked point next to this cone. Players will now need to deal with the threat of an invisible enemy on their way out. Players will now need to return to Lodochka and speak with him. After doing so, the mission will be marked as accomplished. The next main mission will be Hornet’s Nest.
