Palworld‘s Feybreak Island update added a ton of content, including many new Pals, enemies, and towers to conquer. Towards the end of it all, you’ll find the Feybreak Tower, and overcoming the boss inside of it is going to take a lot of effort and skill.
Bjorn and Bastigor are easily one of the most difficult boss battles in the game, and to defeat the two, you’ll have to get the best possible gear and weapons to come out victorious. This boss hits incredibly hard, but some of its attacks are quite easy to avoid, giving you enough time to retaliate and bring it down.
How To Find Bjorn And Bastigor
Bjorn and Bastigor can be found in the Feybreak Tower, which can be found at the southwestern edge of the island. However, to gain entry to the tower, you’ll have to collect three Pal Bounty Tokens:
- Dazzi Noct Bounty Token
- Caprity Noct Bounty Token
- Omascul Bounty Token
Once you’ve defeated these three Alpha Pals, you’ll be able to gain entry to the Feybreak Tower and can then fight against the boss. Dazzi Noct can be found towards the northwest of the Feybreak Tower. Caprity Noct is to the east of the tower, while Alpha Omascul can be found in the southeast direction of the Oculus Gate teleport point.

Preparations For Fighting Against Bjorn And Bastigor
Bjorn and Bastigor will require you and your Pals to be at the maximum level of 60. It is recommended that you equip yourself with Cold Resistant Hexolite Armor before you head into the area, because the boss mostly uses Ice attacks and the area around the tower features a low temperature, making it difficult to traverse without proper equipment.
You’ll also need the Advanced Shield and Hexolite Helmet equipped in order to endure a few hits. The boss has a max HP of 509,249, and the best way to bring down such a massive amount of HP in ten minutes is with a Plasma Cannon. For ammo, you should have around 100 plasma cartridges in your inventory to take on the boss comfortably.
Since Bastigor is an Ice-type, you should bring boosted Fire-type Pals with passives that enhance the attack of all your other Fire-type Pals. The boss hits like a truck and most of the fight will likely be solo against the boss, but these Pals serve as great meat shields while you try to aim with your Plasma Cannon.
Make sure you’ve brought a bunch of Advanced Recovery Meds and Revival Potions to last the fight.
Jormuntide Ignis, Incineram, and Reptyro are good options with a balance of strong defense and offense to help you take down Bjorn and Bastigor. You can also breed these Pals to have strong passive abilities to help the rest of your team or cook dishes to boost your party’s abilities for the fight.
Don’t bring any Ice-Type Pals to this battle because the arena’s temperature is already low and if you bring out an Ice-Type Pal, you’ll start taking damage due to the extreme cold.
Bjorn And Bastigor Attacks
The boss uses a mix of Rock, Ice, and Water-type attacks. Most of the attacks are designed in a way that you can easily avoid them if you keep your eyes out for them.

Attack |
Description |
How To Avoid |
Water Wave |
Bastigor will conjure an orb of water in front of it, shooting a large beam of water in a targeted direction. |
The charge-up takes a little while, giving you enough time to recognize the attack and dash away. This attack doesn’t deal as much damage compared to his other attacks, but if it hits you, you’ll be stun-locked. |
Icicle Barrage |
Bjorn and Bastigor will summon several icicles behind them, and you’ll be able to see these icicles in a horizontal line, which will then be shot in a targeted direction. |
You can hide behind any of the pillars to avoid this attack or simply roll away as the icicles are about to hit you. |
Icicle Drop |
This is an arena-wide attack where Bjorn and Bastigor will periodically summon Icicles all over the arena, which will then drop on the ground to deal damage to anything they come in contact with. |
You can spot where an icicle is about to hit by watching the ground as there’s a visual cue. Keep moving and make sure you don’t get blocked by a pillar or the edge of the arena while you’re trying to back away from the dropping icicles as you might get trapped. |
Ice Stomp Into Cold Dash |
Bastigor will slam the ground, causing a straight line of ice to erupt from the ground. The boss will then dash through the ice, dealing damage to anything in its path. |
The initial stomp and the line of ice don’t deal that much damage, so even if you get hit by it, try to dodge to the sides so you don’t get clipped by the upcoming dash attack. |
Rock Throw |
Bjorn and Bastigor will throw a single rock in your direction. |
This attack is fairly easy to avoid as you can roll in any direction to dodge it. |
Rock Carnival |
The boss will raise rocks from the ground, launching them in all directions. |
Roll in any direction to avoid this attack. You can also hide behind any pillars as you see this attack coming. |
Water Sprout |
This attack summons a horizontal line on the ground, and water sprouts from it. Every time the water sprouts from this line, the line will move further away from the boss. |
You can easily spot this attack on the ground. Dodge in the forward direction to completely render this attack ineffective. If you dodge backward, you’ll have to dodge the second volley as well, because the line keeps moving to your back. |
Jumping Cold Smash |
The boss jumps into the air and smashes the ground on landing. Upon landing, a wide area is covered in ice, which freezes and deals damage to everything on it after a short while. |
You have to sprint and move away from the ice markings on the ground. This attack deals a considerable amount of damage, so it’s best to prioritize avoiding it. |
Water Fountain |
The boss will conjure a straight line leading up to the target, causing water to sprout from the line. |
Dodge to any side to avoid this attack. |
Icicle Throw |
Bjorn and Bastigor will summon an icicle in front of themselves, throwing it in your direction. Upon impact, the icicle will explode, dealing ice-type damage in a short radius. |
You can use pillars to avoid this attack, but make sure you’re out of the ice explosion’s radius as it can damage you even if the icicle is blocked by a pillar. You can also dodge quickly to avoid the icicle. |
Lord Of Ice |
Bastigor will freeze a huge part of the arena, and you’ll be able to notice the attack range from the ice markings on the ground. The boss will then cause ice spikes to erupt from the ground. If you touch any of these ice spikes, you’ll be frozen in place and take a considerable amount of damage. |
This attack is incredibly dangerous as it doesn’t only deal a significant chunk of damage, it also freezes you in place, making it impossible to avoid the boss’ next attack. If you see this attack coming, quickly run towards the edge of the arena or at least hide behind the pillars so you can avoid the follow-up attack even if you’re frozen in place. |
How To Defeat Bjorn And Bastigor
The fundamental strategy of this boss battle is to utilize pillars to avoid the attacks and use your Pals to keep the boss occupied while you aim at it with your Plasma Cannon. Bjorn and Bastigor have some attacks that can quickly close in the distance, but you have to do your best to stay as far away from the boss as possible.
Try to micromanage your Pals to prolong their survival, but even if all of your Pals have been taken out, you have to stay strong because you can still win the fight. In the end, it is entirely possible to fight against the boss alone with just your Plasma Cannon.
If you get an opportunity to strike, aim for Bjorn, who’s sitting on Bastigor’s back. Doing so will allow you to strike a critical hit, dealing some bonus damage to the boss.
Try to aim carefully as every bullet with the Plasma Cannon counts. The weapon also takes a fair amount of time to reload after firing only two shots, and it’s best to take cover behind the pillars to reload.
Rewards For Defeating Bjorn And Bastigor
Defeating Bjorn and Bastigor rewards you with five Ancient Technology Points and will unlock a fast travel point at the top of Feybreak Tower. You’ll also unlock the Triple Jump Boots item in the technology tab, which costs about three Ancient Technology points to unlock and increases the jump count by two.
