Aocang, where you control the mechanical Onikabuto, Bloom Pruner, and face off against bizarre and powerful foes. By completing challenges, you can earn rewards such as Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Sanctifying Unction, and more.
The event will run from 3rd of January, 2025 08:00 UTC till the 13th of January, 2025 01:59 UTC. Players must have an Adventure Rank of 20 or above and complete the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Additionally, finishing the Story Quest Grus Serena Chapter: Act I (Xianyun Story Quest) is recommended for the best experience.
Genshin Impact Shuyu’s Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl Event Overview
The event takes place in a teapot domain where players assist Shuyu and Grandmaster Hanakado in operating the Bloom Pruner to overcome various challenges. Each day, for the first five days of the event, a new beetle battle challenge is unlocked. Players can choose from three difficulty levels: Friendly Spar, Focused Fight, and Utmost Might, with the latter requiring completion of Focused Fight to unlock.
The gameplay revolves around identifying and exploiting the weak points of mechanical enemies. Striking these weak spots deals significant damage and is key to victory. The Bloom Pruner can also perform charge attacks by holding the right button, delivering powerful blows. For added complexity, the mechanical Onikabuto now can fly. Players can hold the up button to ascend and attack airborne weak spots.

Success in this event depends on mastering the mechanics of the Bloom Pruner and adapting to enemy attack patterns.
- Each foe has a specific weak spot that players must target to maximize damage.
- To hit these vulnerabilities, players can fly to the appropriate altitude and perform a Piercing Strike, a special move that deals increased damage upon direct impact.
- When foes launch airborne strikes, it’s best to land on the ground to evade.
- When facing ground-based attacks, ascending into the air provides safety.
- On the highest difficulty, Utmost Might, only Piercing Strikes can destroy weak spots, making precision and timing essential.
The event also includes a co-op mode, allowing players to team up with friends or match with others to take on powerful enemies together.
