The Best Cards Of 2024 In Disney Lorcana

Disney Lorcana saw four exceptional sets released in 2024, bringing with them some very fun cards to help you build a wide range of decks to tackle tournaments. Across these sets, Into the Inklands, Ursula’s Return, Shimmering Skies, and Azurite Sea are some cards that are leagues apart from the rest.

Between reimaginings of your favorite characters, memorable songs, and some of the most iconic items and scenes from your favorite films transformed into cards, there are tons of great cards released throughout 2024, and these are some of the best.

Lucky Dime

Gotta Start Somewhere

One of the more interesting item cards to come to Lorcana, Lucky Dime lets you double up on your lore counters or keep getting closer to your goals without threatening to lose any characters.

Lucky Dime lets you spend two ink and tap it to gain lore equal to one of your characters. When paired up with high lore count questers like Mufasa, Ruler of Pride Rock, you can get as much as eight lore in a single turn. The neat thing is you can use it to get the lore counters off a character near defeat for a few turns until you decide to sacrifice them to win the game.

Pete, Games Referee

Gotta Keep The Game Fair

A fascinating character to join the game from Shimmering Skies, Pete, Games Referee has made some huge waves in the meta despite being just an uncommon card. This three-ink card has a strong effect when it comes into play, one that is pretty unique even now.

When Pete is played, his Blow The Whistle ability triggers, making it so your opponents cannot play action cards until the start of your next turn. Locking your opponent out of playing actions can be a strong play, and with a solid stat line, you can get the most out of Pete easily.

Morph, Space Goo

Anything You Want It To Be

Morph, Space Goo might not be the strongest card around, but it has so much versatility and potential that it’s almost impossible to ignore. With Morph’s Mimicry ability, you can shift any character you want onto it as if it had any name of any character in Lorcana.

Morph isn’t particularly strong and doesn’t quest for much, but it’s cheap, only costing two ink, and since it can come down early, you can set up some great shift plays just a few turns later. The more cards with shift that are released, the better Morph gets.

Sisu, Empowered Sibling

She’s Got It!

Speaking of characters that can shift, Sisu, Empowered Sibling is a very solid character that can turn a game in a single turn. When this iteration of Sisu comes into play, you get to banish all your opponent’s characters with two strength or less.

The I Got This ability can take care of tons of strong, but physically weak characters, and late in the game, you can have Sisu take out several characters in a single turn. Pair Saisu with her Emboldened Warrior card, and you have a good 1-2 punch in your deck.

Vision Of The Future

Two Steps Ahead

A hard card draw is always good and Vision of the Future gives you some power to go digging into your deck into the card you’re looking for. For two ink you can play this card to take a peek at the top five cards of your deck.

You get to take one of those cards and add it into your hand, taking the rest of the cards and tucking them on the bottom of your deck. This type of card draw gives you a bunch of control over what your next draw is going to look like, giving you pretty good odds to get something you need.

Elsa, The Fifth Spirit

Not Letting This One Go

One of the most popular Disney princesses is back and this time she means business. Elsa, The Fifth Spirit is a very strong amethyst card that takes down your opponent’s evasive characters while setting them up to take down specific cards.

With both rush and evasive, Elsa can swing in at your opponent’s evasive cards with no problem. If there is one, she can lock down a character with her Crystallize ability, forcing your opponent to exert them so you can have Elsa take them out.

Clarabelle, Light On Her Hooves

Can’t Stop Dancing

Drawing cards is vital in practically any trading card game and Clarabelle, Light on her Hooves is one of the best ways to draw cards right now in Lorcana, though she does come with a small stipulation.

With her Keep in Step ability, you get to draw cards to match the number of cards in your opponent’s hand, so long as they have more cards than you. If you’re able to keep dumping your hand turn after turn, you’ll have a steady supply of cards ready for your next turn.

Prince Naveen, Ukulele Player

The Pipes

Your favorite Disney songs have never sounded better than when Prince Naveen, Ukulele Player is singing them. This character sings for six, and since he only costs four ink to play, gives you a huge jump ahead in value.

Not to mention, with Naveen’s It’s Beautiful No? ability, you can play a song with a cost of six or less for free when you play him. This gives you the chance to play two cards for one, which is incredible early in the game.

Robin Hood, Champion Of Sherwood

Never Challenge Him

Getting the most out of your cards is vital in a game and Robin Hood, Champion of Sherwood gives you two solid abilities that can be played quickly and with a solid body to keep him swinging. Robin’s Skilled Combatant ability nets you two lore anytime he banishes another character via challenging.

Then, once you’ve taken a few characters down and Robin is looking a bit low on willpower, you can challenge Robin one last time, letting you draw a card when he gets banished. On top of all that, you can shift him for three ink, letting him come down two turns earlier than usual.

Mufasa, Ruler Of Pride Rock

The Return Of The King

An exceptionally powerful card, Mufasa, Ruler of Pride Rock does it all. You can quest for a ton of lore, he comes with two abilities and comes with some powerful stats. Mufasa’s A Delicate Balance ability lets you exert all your cards in your inkwell in exchange for bouncing two cards randomly back into your hand.

Then, anytime Mufasa quests, you can ready all the cards in your inkwell. This gives you a second chance to play even more cards in a turn, overwhelming your opponent with the sheer number of cards and resources available to you.
