A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail is hinting at two playable characters set to arrive to the game as part of the upcoming crossover with the Fate/Stay Night franchise. HoYoverse first revealed the massive collab for the popular sci-fi RPG earlier this year, with the crossover confirmed to center around the Unlimited Blade Works portion of the series. The collaboration has seen plenty of speculation from fans about what it could include, though nothing was officially confirmed by HoYoverse. Now, a new leak may give the first hints of what’s to come from the Fate crossover.
HoYoverse features a rich history of collaborations throughout its many games, often pairing up with major brands for special promotions. Genshin Impact teamed up with McDonald’s earlier this year for a major promotional event, featuring special packaging boasting characters from the game and codes for in-game goodies. Honkai: Star Rail even announced a collaboration with KFC earlier this week, though the event is set to be exclusive to Chinese KFC locations. However, the newest Honkai: Star Rail crossover is set to bring a pair of playable characters to the game.

Honkai: Star Rail Leak Teases Fate Crossover Characters
A new update shared by prominent HoYoverse leaker Ubatcha is teasing the two playable characters in Honkai: Star Rail‘s Fate/Stay Night crossover. Another update from trusted leaker Sakura Haven has also hinted at the potential Paths of the collab characters, suggesting one will likely be Nihility while the other will be Hunt. Honkai: Star Rail‘s collaboration with Fate/Stay Night is expected to arrive sometime during the third quarter of 2025.
The introduction of new playable characters would not be the first time HoYoverse has implemented a similar idea in its games. Honkai Impact 3rd features multiple playable characters from different HoYoverse games, adding Genshin Impact‘s Fischl and Keqing as well as Star Rail‘s Sparkle to the game. Genshin Impact even saw the first playable roster member from outside HoYoverse titles, with Horizon: Zero Dawn protagonist Aloy becoming playable in the open-world RPG.
Honkai: Star Rail‘s highly-anticipated crossover will follow the massively hyped introduction of the game’s fourth playable world. Amphoreus is finally set to debut later this month, with HoYoverse already showing off multiple new characters and locations set to appear within the RPG’s next locale. The Special Program broadcast also showcased the main theme for Amphoreus, with YOASOBI lead singer Ikura providing the vocals. With a full new world and an exciting crossover on the way, 2025 looks set to be a banner year for Honkai: Star Rail.
