Summary

  • Players of Pocket Camp Complete are frustrated with the restricted areas for their campsites, specifically the space occupied by their RV.

  • Despite the initial full release, developers plan to add more content until September, with hopes for more items and additional decorating locations.

Some Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete players are growing frustrated over areas of their campsites where they aren’t allowed to build anything. This particular complaint about Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete affects nearly every area that players can visit, as the wasted space is set aside for the player’s traveling recreational vehicle, which some players feel is less than ideal.

November 28, 2024, marked the end of an era for Animal Crossing, as the free-to-play mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp shut down its services after a run of just a few days over seven years since its worldwide release. However, a replacement app, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, was released just five days after the original mobile game’s last day, requiring players to pay a one-time fee to access its full content rather than paying in microtransactions.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Breaks Another Sales Record

Thanks to its unwavering sales, Animal Crossing: New Horizons crosses a major milestone and reaches unprecedented numbers for a physical release.

While fans seem to be enjoying the newest version of Pocket Camp after the original’s shutdown, as its 4.4-star rating on Google Play suggests, one peristent problem is the wasted space around the player’s recreational vehicle. Reddit user stinky-cherry mapped out the total area the RV occupies, measuring up to 50 squares of space despite the vehicle only physically touching a dozen. The player has suggested that all Pocket Camp Complete players band together in an email campaign to ask the developers at Nintendo to address this issue and give them more space to build and decorate.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete are Annoyed With the RV

Aside from the wasted space, players have other issues with the RV. Its space is covered in water on some maps, leaving the RV unrealistically floating on the surface. Some are supporting the idea of setting aside an area of land just outside the buildable map for placement of the RV, allowing for both more decorating space and more believable parking locations. Others are simply upset that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete‘s amenities with its large buildings and structures have limited location options. Freeing up space around the RV would afford players much more creative freedom.

Although Pocket Camp Complete is a full release that includes all the content released over the course of the original Pocket Camp, the developers don’t plan to stop there. It’s been stated that they will continue to add more new content until September at the earliest. The start of January saw new items for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, but it seems some fans are hoping future updates will not only include more items, but more places to put them.
