Ichi the Witch Recommended by Horikoshi
Horikoshi, the mangaka of My Hero Academia, has recently recommended a brand new manga to fans to read, called Ichi the Witch.
The manga Ichi the Witch is one of the most recent additions to the Weekly Shonen Jump, having only started serialization back in early September 2024, making it only about 4 months old now that January 2025 has started. So far, the manga has a total of 16 chapters, and the first volume of this manga is set to release in Japan on the 4th of January this year.
This interesting manga is written by author Osamu Nishi, and drawn by Shiro Usazaki. The artist Usazaki might also be known by some readers for her work on Act-Age. However, the manga was canceled and now, she has moved to this new work.
What Is Ichi the Witch About?
In a world where it’s believed only women can become witches, a boy called Ichi, whom the series is named after, becomes the very first male witch. The world of Ichi the Witch has monsters known as Majiks. Defeating them is what allows one to become a witch, a feat Ichi was able to accomplish.
This manga has an interesting new concept, and it’s easy to see why Horikoshi would recommend it.
