Infinite is Coming to Unexpected Platforms

Summary

  • Bright Memory: Infinite, a FPS game with Devil May Cry-style combat, is releasing on iOS and Android on January 17, 2025.
  • The mobile version will cost $4.99, support Xbox controllers, and feature gyroscope aiming controls.
  • The game, which originally launched on consoles and PC, will have touchscreen controls and up to 120 FPS on Android.

FQD Personal Studio has announced that the Bright Memory: Infinite first-person shooter will be coming to iOS and Android platforms on January 17, 2025. Bright Memory: Infinite began its life as just Bright Memory in 2020, with plans for it to be an episodic release. Instead of developing a second episode, FYQD remade the game into a full-length title, now known as Bright Memory: Infinite, which launched on the PC in 2021.

Bright Memory: Infinite is essentially a first-person shooter with Devil May Cry-style combat mechanics, where its protagonist, Shelia, can use guns, swords, and supernatural abilities to fight off enemies. The Devil May Cry comparisons are apparent with how it grades on how stylishly or creatively players fight their opponents, with extra points for high combos. While Bright Memory‘s initial launch was an Xbox console exclusive, Infinite had a multiplatform console release in 2022 on the Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Three years after its console launch, Bright Memory: Infinite is coming to mobile platforms as well.

The FPS genre has continued innovating over the years and is the most popular genre in gaming, but indie developers have picked up the ball recently.

In a new trailer from FYQD-Studio, it is revealed that Bright Memory: Infinite‘s mobile version will be launching on January 17, 2025. The mobile version will be available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Bright Memory: Infinite will cost $4.99 on iOS and Android, which is a little bit less than its base release on Steam. The mobile version of the game will be ported from Bright Memory: Infinite‘s PC version, though adjusted to use touchscreen controls.

Bright Memory: Infinite’s Mobile Features

FYQD-Studio confirmed a number of features and differences that were brought over from the PC version, such as how Bright Memory: Infinite‘s mobile version can support Xbox controllers. The mobile version of Bright Memory: Infinite also has virtual button customization, gyroscope aiming controls, and even a maximum of 120 FPS when played on Android devices.

The new trailer released by FYQD also briefly goes over some of Bright Memory: Infinite‘s fast-paced first-person gameplay, such as deflecting attacks with Shelia’s sword, firing guns against enemies and huge bosses, and even some segments that have the protagonist driving a car and flying out of it. The developer also thanked gamers for playing the original Bright Memory after it exited early access and was released on PC and mobile devices. In that sense, Bright Memory: Infinite coming to mobile devices in 2025 feels incredibly appropriate, given the original iteration’s platforms.
