The new season of Fortnite has a lot of fun features on the map, one a lot of players might be avoiding though is the Bushranger Key. The previous few Chapters have been vault-heavy, but they’re not a major part of this current map. At least if you’re not searching out the secrets. If you can go through the steps to get the Vault Key in Fortnite, you’ll be able to access the best vault in the game in every round.
There are a few problems with trying to hit this vault consistently though. In past Fortnite seasons, we largely saw vaults come from killing bosses. Very consistent, you just need to go to the right drop spot and fight. However, this season it’s a bit more random. You don’t have to take out a boss anymore, but you are at the mercy of a spawn that changes each game.
Because there’s a hint of randomness to the Fortnite Bushranger key, it’s difficult to track the right spot down. We do have some strategies to cut out the randomness though. Get your drop right, and you could be able to secure the key in every game where you head into Night Shift.
How Does the Vault Key Work?
In the Chapter 6 map, there’s a few features worth looking at. One of the most useful. In the early game in the Bushranger key for the vault. Rather than getting a vault from the Chapter 6 medallions like in the past, it’s a standalone location in Night Shit Forrest.
Opening it up is a bit tricky though. You’ll need to collect a specific Mythic item. It’s given out by the Bushranger Fortnite NPC location. To get it, you need to collect a sprite, and then trade it to him with the give item response.
The only trouble is, Bushranger can spawn in one of three FN NPC spots. You need to be able to find him without wasting time running the entire way around the POI. How can you get this done consistently? There are a few tips you can use.
How to Get the Bushranger Key in Fortnite
The Bushranger key in Fortnite is based on RNG, you can’t predict which spot he’ll spawn at. However, they’re close enough that you can do it quickly. These are the spawn spots to learn:
When dropping into Night Shift Forrest, you can use some strategies to check them before you actually confirm your drop.
- When out the Battle Bus, drop low enough to see the NPC marker indicator on the map
- Glide close enough to the closest spot to the bus route
- If the NPC is there, drop and find a sprite. Bushranger sells a blue Holo Twister, great or fighting off rivals off spawn.
- If he’s not, swerve quickly. If you’re high enough up, you should be able to get close enough to another spawn spot and check this one.
- If you get unlucky and he’s at the third, head straight to the large central building. There’s a Typhoon Blade spawn here
- Take it and use its mobility-boosting tools to boost over to the third and get into the vault
This whole time, keep an eye on the sky. As soon as it turns over daytime, you’ll know someone has the key. At that point, swerve and find a camping spot to ambush them later. Most games though, scouting from the skies can secure the Bushranger key in Fortnite for you.
