NieR: Automata has many weapons for each of the protagonists to find and use. Your inventory will carry over with each playthrough, further incentivizing players to invest time and resources into making their favorite weapons stronger as you can use them throughout the entire game.
One crafting material players will often need depending on the weapons you choose to upgrade is Titanium Alloy. While there are a few set locations to get Titanium Alloy, and you’ll find some during the main story, you’ll also want to know how to farm them whenever you are in desperate need of many more all at once; here’s how to do it.

Where To Farm Titanium Alloy In NieR: Automata
The best place to farm Titanium Alloy is unlocked after completing Chapter 3 in the base game, which can be unlocked with only a few hours of gameplay. The location itself is where you fight Adam at the end of chapter 3, in the evil machine village deep in the desert. If you haven’t been here in a while, the nearest fast-travel point is the Desert: Housing Complex location.
Fast-travel there and head northwest through the complex and follow the linear path to reach the machine’s old hideout. Once you reach the bottom of the crater, enemies will constantly spawn in waves, with more spawning only a few seconds after you destroy the ones that are already there. This is the infinite machine spawning pit, and it’s also a great place to farm for XP as enemies will never stop coming. In the pit you’ll find the following enemies:
- Goliath Bipeds
- Exploders
- Medium Bipeds
- Desert Bipeds
You’ll want to keep an eye out for the Medium Bipeds, as their name implies they will be the middle-sized machines that will spawn in this pit. The item drops from these enemies that are over level 18 have a chance of dropping Titanium Alloy when destroyed, and their spawn rate makes it fairly easy to get a few dozen Titanium Alloy with only a few minutes of farming.
In this pit, machines destroyed will only respawn that same type of machine a few seconds later, so simply attack everything but know the frequency of Medium Bipeds spawning will always stay the same. Using Chapter Select later in the game will let you go back to this location whenever you want.
There will be lots of item drops from all the enemies, so be sure to pick up everything so as to not miss any Titanium Alloy.
